About 70% of women cannot orgasm from intercourse alone. That means it is normal to not orgasm every time or to need other methods of sex for a woman to orgasm.
Damn, I'm (we're) just naturally good I guess. Seriously, why would I research it if its never been any sort of issue for me, nor my wife?
As long as you're sure your wife is orgasming, the only research I'd do is research on new positions to try. ;)

Because you want to have an intelligent discussion about said topic on a discussion board with others who are more informed on said topic. It is more enjoyable then saying "who knows."
Actually, you may very well have lucked out and your wife has her sensitive area situated where it is stimulated perfectly during intercourse. OR you are also engaging in other sexual activities. OR she isn't orgasming as often as you think she it.

Well, most evolved behaviors evolve for a reason. If people weren't doing it naturally, it could still conceivably be healthy. In my mind it's unnatural to eat salads, but I'm told it's good for you.

Masturbation also keeps the sperm fresh for fertilization. For example, males going through in vitro fertilization processes to get their female partners pregnant are instructed to masturbate at least once a day for 2 to 3 days before they will be providing the sperm used in the in vitro process. This is explained that sperm decays with time, and if you use older sperm than that produced in the prior 24 hours, you reduce the chance of fertilization and can increase the chance of problems with the resulting fetus. So, male masturbation promotes healthier human reproduction.
Males that don't masturbate but father children are taking a risk (unless the impregnating coitus occurs within 24 hours of the male having experienced an involuntary, nocturnal emission).
So is the LDS Church in favor of less healthy procreation via its stance against masturbation?

Indeed it is. I wonder how many LDS pregnancies have been involuntarily terminated due to complications from repression of masturbation.

I wonder, too. Just remember, it doesn't have to be masturbation. If a couple is having sex regularly prior to the fertility window...and I mean REGULARLY...then the sperm should be nice and fresh as well.

That's true, but I've never been able to convince the Mrs to have a go every day. Actually, I probably wouldn't have the energy anymore. I must be getting old. :o

But if you take a break without masturbation, and then resume, well, you're playing roulette.

Every other day should get the desired results. And don't forget, assisted masturbation is totally not against church rules!
If you're getting old you probably should be having sex anymore. *wink*

Speaking of roulette!
•80 million women have unwanted or unintended pregnancies every year (Glasier et al, 2006).
Sex is roulette in many, many ways.
