My Wife Said Hi and Bye to President Monson At SL Clinic

Post by _Nightlion »

She greeted him coming in to the clinic and saw him leave. No retinue with him just a couple of helpers, maybe family. No limo.
He did not look so good, she said. Pale and stumbled.
She was taking her mom to the doctor.

I said, Man can you imagine being him after you die and have to realize what a complete hypocrite you have been and how profoundly you misled millions who trusted you to have it right? He gets not chance in hell to accept the REAL gospel in the Spirit World. No way. Nobody will be knocking on his door. Wont happen.

What a zoo it will be where his ilk end up. What will be the most prominent rationalization do you suppose? I hope I do not come across gratuitously disparaging him because he owned a certain dignity. If he had ever done well with the wealth of opportunity that came his way none would have been more please than I. When the honored fall hard it should be a caution to all.

What kind of clinic was it?

Just the medical clinic on Ninth East and near Fourth South. I think they are building a new building in the parking lot at this time.

I think he already knows...

He did not look so good, she said. Pale and stumbled.

He was probably just visiting someone. He has a medical care plan that does not require him to go anywhere unless it's an emergency.

I cannot say. He was assisted by a lady. A relative perhaps or a private nurse. My wife thought he looked as though he had lost weight too. Maybe he wanted to stay under the official radar. OOPS!

Was he carrying a plate of cookies?

Would have been much more interesting if I had been there helping my wife take her mom to the clinic. Monson actually knows who I am. He had one of his best friends investigate me by having my dad and me build him a Southern Colonial style mansion in the Olympus Cove, upon The Apocalrock for goodness sake.

Monson was considering having us build him a new home too. This was back in the early eighties after I had been more than four years at full time research and pondering sitting in the Church Historical Library day and night. I was seeking the resolution of LDS doctrinal conundrums. I wrote up my Wonders Of Eternity that reinvented LDS theology over a perfectly fluid chronology of scripture that reveals many entirely heretofore unknown facts. Like that the organization of intelligence where Satan rebelled was a separate and distinct event from having been born spirit children to exalted parents. Lots of great stuff there.

I digress. Hinckley had local authorities pretend to have to do with me, I was put on official church probation for teaching another aspect of my theology in an Elder's Quorum. They just wanted to see how I would squirm with that offense put on me. After that I returned to my home stake where Hinckley and his sycophants were, who had for years disabused the minds of trouble members who could not easily reconcile my powers of enlightenment above that of my fellows, as I held forth many years with greater views of scriptures than any had before heard every week at church. That was just off the cuff.

I digress again. Turned out that Monson and Hinckley some eight years later have me excommunicated for something. Nobody really made any case of what that was. When I appealed my excommunication President Benson was incapacitated, and it was Hinckley and Monson who denied it.

I would not have wanted Monson to fall down dead at my feet from the shock of standing in my august presence unexpectedly when he is already frail to begin with. So I guess it best as it was. Nevermind.

You have an august presence? That's pretty cool. My presence is pretty ho-hum, at least if my wife's reaction is the standard gauge. My dogs seem to go nuts when I walk into the house though, so I guess that's something.

I find that fascinating. Do you have this written up anywhere online? I'd love to read it!

As far as Monson goes....I think he seemed quite "out of it" during GC. His talks have always been fluff and air but this time they were worse (I know several TBMs who were horrified and embarrassed for him....all his silly stories and facial expressions....it was all so propped and staged in my opinion). Also, why in the H-LL was he late for conference? Traffic? REALLY??? All very strange in deed! I think he's slipping mentally and physically.
