This distinction goes out to stemelbow for his untiring whining (with never ceasing refrains like "that's just silly", "I was just disagreeing with you" when I called you 'stupid', "that makes no sense to me" and "you didn't understand me").
Ever more remarkable is that stem has been registered and posting for less than 9 months, but with just two months to go in the year, it is inconceivable that any other poster could come close.
pep pep, stem. You now have this laurel to brag about.
To paraphrase Obiwan: Who's the more whiny? The whiner or the whiner who whines about the whiner?
Shouldn't Sock Puppet win the award for whining so much about the whiner??? So much that you actually went out of your way to create a post with a made up award??
And what the hell does ttribe have to do with any of this???
Kind of pathetic...
Should moderators just moderate themselves for being board nannies?
Congratulations! You have been bestowed the most unusual honor in the history of Cassius University. Its regents met today (and were damn thankful they are regents of Cassius U and not Penn State), and considered the name change to the award.
They not only took my suggestion of adding your name to the awards title going forward, but the regents (in their infinite wisdom) went two steps further. First, they instructed me to make yours the only attributed name in the title. Second, they instructed me to make the name change retroactive.
So, you will note the change in the name of this thread. You are the first ever, 2011 award winner of--[trumpets blowing]--the stemelbow whiner of the year award.
My hat is off to you, stemelbow. You earned it! (I am so verclempt, all I can say is, talk amongst yourselves... .)
I really don't know why some people spend so much time posting insults to you. I find your posts to be level headed (obviously I don't agree with your religious beliefs for the most part). I don't know what their problem is, I really don't. I think basically those that spend their time posting frequent insults, must be very bored and to them perhaps that makes their lives feel more exciting.
As Stemelbow is an active Mormon shouldn't the award be entitled:
"2011 Stemelbow Grape Juicer of the Year Award"
“We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.” Keith McMullin - Counsellor in Presiding Bishopric
"One, two, three...let's go shopping!" Thomas S Monson - Prophet, Seer, Revelator

Really marg? That's your best guess at why people do it?
Has the possibility ever crossed your mind that maybe people do it to prevent their head from exploding after reading some of the nonsense people write?
I don't know why some people spend so much time making awful hypotheses for why others behave in a way that I wouldn't. I don't know what their problem is. I think people who do have a quota of ridiculous hypotheses to meet and have to keep up. Plus, that gives their lives the fulfillment they are so sorely lacking. Yeah... that's it. That sounds completely reasonable to me.
*eye roll*
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
