OK, this used to bother me a lot. As a believer, I would often wonder at the fate of such folks as those depicted in the OP. A ward member once told me, "they have their place in heaven among the rest of us." I wondered what they would spend their time doing. Would they just gather and hunt for eternity or would they evolve into sapiens? It seemed the only way to resolve this question was to bury it away along side the many other problematic artifacts of human history.
