Not really. He needs to read Rough Stone Rolling and then maybe he would learn something about Joseph Smith and Mormonism. But until then, he sounds antimormon. He would never be critical of jews or muslims by calling their religion a fraud based on lies. Bill is a coward.

Unfortunately, any Chapel Mormons who watched this show had no idea what Bill Maher was talking about. It's a sad reminder of how little the average member really knows about Church history.

Joseph was definitely not a Bernie Madoff. Bernie was the common type of conman most think of. It was all about the money. Religious frauds are way different, and in many, if not most, have a lot of belief in what they are doing. Heck, even many financial frauds justify to themselves that what they are doing is not bad.
