And that's fine..but restricting participants to invites and then allowing those invites to malign others not on that board..but on here..that's pathetic. Such cowards.

Marg..I'm not going to get into a big argument with you because the board is dead, and I don't have the energy or time to deal with constant back and forths, so please don't bother to respond. Let me simply state that you have my motives all wrong. Uncle Dale and I have been friends for a long time. He was very kind to me when I was a new member of the FAIR board way back in 2006. No, I don't participate on the Spalding Theory threads, but I do read them, and have also read Dale's site. I did want to give him an opportunity to share some of his findings on my "Fine Dining" section. I had also cleared a section for Blixa to share some of her research on Emma Smith, which is also an interest of mine.

Again, the board is dead, so this is all moot. That is all I am going to say about your comments.

It really doesn't matter that Liz didn't bother to learn both sides of the story or even comment on Ray's nasty and filthy PMs to me. It doesn't matter that she has publicly maligned me without learning the facts. It's obvious that Liz is only concerned about her "friend" Ray.

What really concerns me and what Liz is having a hard time understanding and taking responsibility for, is that she was a Moderator and immediately deleted a PM and then shortly thereafter started publicly commenting about the PM on "The Cafeteria".

I think Ceeboo is correct that every member of this board should be VERY concerned that Liz is a Moderator. She sees nothing wrong with deleting a PM that Ray posted and then immediately posting such information on "The Cafeteria".

Liz, if you can't understand that your behavior is inappropriate, then you need to step down immediately. Liz, I really think it's time to go.

Again, does anyone see where this is going or is it just me?

Woops, already there.

All I said Liz is I don't think your board is simply a NOM board, that I think it is/was a Shades board but with control by you. I also don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, however to allow anyone on your board to malign someone on this board and that person can't see what is being said is/was so obviously wrong it shouldn't have to be said or pointed out. Without Scratch exposing your board it would have continued. So the mole isn't the bad guy in all this.

Liz, let me extend the olive branch. I don't want to discuss this anymore. I'm just a guest here. I've learned some valuable lessons from this.

I suppose all of this Sturm und Drang could be entertaining unless one were personally involved in some way.

I was castigated about a year or so ago on this board for trusting Dr. Scratch with my in real life identity (to allow verification of my publications). At that time I was informed that I should have sent this information to one of the Board Mods, because Dr. Scratch could not be trusted in such matters.

From what has come to light on this thread, it would certainly appear that I made the right decision to go with the good Doctor.

Your reading comprehension is so far off, it's not even funny.

I did NOT post your PM on my site!!!!

Ray did NOT post your PM on my site!!!

Ray was, understably upset about what you posted. He spoke about it in general terms.

Since I knew what the content was, I empathized, as a parent, with his anger.

I did not initiate the thread. I also CLOSED the thread at Ray's request because he did not want his daughters discussed any further. He realized that he posted in a flurry of anger and hurt, and wanted the thread to work it's way down in interest.

In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have discussed the issue at all. Ray was upset, and what was said was very offensive to me, as a parent.

But you're acting like I pried into your PMs and was posting them on my board. That is not what happened at all.

Okay, marg, I want you to know I'm replying on a tiny little netbook that drives me crazy but I will make the effort only because it's you. :-)

The board was set up for NOMness as a focal point. Liz invited a few others such as Jack, Blixa, Dale and beastie because they have a sort of expertise in specific areas. Please note that none of those posters and including myself are NOM's. She invited people who she is on friendly terms with, enjoys their postings and I think, believed they would contribute to her board without all the pinging back and forth.

In that mix, she also invited DCP.

Let's go back to my being a mod. I think early on, I told her if she ever needed mod support that I would be glad to do it. When the board came online she stated that she didn't think she would need mods and would do it herself. At some point, a mod was selected who posts as Astyanax--don't hold me to the spelling.

Later, when there was a family wedding coming up, she put me on as mod so that the board would have two people covering it so she could get on with in real life stuff. That appointment was always intended to be temporary.

Still later, Liz was given some news concerning her health that threw her for a loop. She then decided to keep me on as mod for similar reasons. So that there would be coverage in the event that there might be periods of time where she couldn't deal with it.

I barely had 100 posts on that board. Maybe 150 by the time it was taken offline.

From the start of my posting there I opposed the threads started by DCP that were Scratch related and stated repeatedly that I didn't want to see that board become the after party for MDB, MDB Annex and things such as that.

Which is exactly what happened over this past week.

For the majority of posters there, including myself, it was never about trashing MDB or anyone on it in secret. I think you know me well enough to know that I am not a coward.

Some folks such as myself openly opposed the DCP/Scratch stuff, some supported it and others took a hands off approach.

It all came to a head over the OP that Scratch posted here on account of the fact that DCP himself chose to plaster this on 2 boards.

I don't see DCP as so much of a coward as I see him a guy who is tremendously self absorbed, with a sense of entitlement and who denies his responsibility even when his actions show otherwise.

What I dislike about what he did on the other board is nothing compared to what I think about him totally ignoring Liz's remarks concerning stress and the impact these things have had on her.

It is for that reason that so far as I am concerned, DCP can screw himself like forever and if he has reason to engage material posted by Scratch then he by god needs to grow a pair and engage it here instead of causing undue stress to Liz who sure as hell never asked for it.

marg...in a nutshell.

Liz opened a nice little home to some of us, DCP came in and pissed all over the carpet.

Speaking only for myself, he can go to hell straight up.

Lie. You paraphrased my PM on your site and then commented on it, Liz. Again, I'm done with this. I have learned some valuable lessons. Mainly, you lie, you stir up drama and you can't be trusted as a person and more importantly, as a Moderator.

That's okay. From now on, I will put as much space between us as possible. Starting right now...........

P.S. Ceeboo, you're right to be concerned. Everyone should be concerned.

marg,

She took her board down on account of this. Could you please see fit to leave her the hell alone now?
