Lastly, I can see several pages discussing/judging the content of the PM (A mere section of this very dangerous and unpaved road that we seem to be speeding down without seatbelts). What I don't see is MDB members/Mods/Admin concern and/or expression about the person who publically posted the PM, or any communication to lend comfort to the several people at MDB who might use/enjoy using private messages.

Shades actioned the post. Ray posted the PM he received from Everybody Wang Chung. Shades removed the PM from Ray's post, and suspended Ray for a week.
Everybody Wang Chung is claiming that I posted his PM on my board. I didn't. For that matter, Ray didn't. Ray DID paraphrase Everybody Wang Chung's PM on my board. And I also commented on my distaste regarding it because I, like other board members, no doubt read it while it was in public view.
My board is now deleted...so the issue of anything on my board is now moot.
Tell me, how do you think Ray should have been dealt with for posting PM content on this board? What consequence should he have received?
Nothing should have been done to Ray. I'm sure we could be friends if he would let me take him out to the Olive Garden and we could discuss this whole thing over a Never Ending Soup and Salad Bowl.
My concern was paraphrasing/discussing my PM on her site.

This might be beside the point at this time, but Everybody Wang Chung, I think you've totally got a hold of the wrong end of the stick concerning liz.
Angry Ray is a verbal tsunami. I wouldn't mess with him in that mode even if I agreed with him. He has certain issues I don't agree with, but that disagreement is slight compared to the good things I've gotten from engaging with him.
But there is one button I will never push with Ray: his family. Frankly, I wouldn't push that button with anyone, but I happen to know that Ray was on the receiving end of some really vile comments once about his children. If you went there---and from what I remember of the pm that Ray posted here---you did, I'm not surprised liz commented on it. Maybe you just meant it as a heat of the moment tit for tat kind of thing, but, even without the back history (see my post upthread) surely you should have known better than to sling that crap.
So yeah, liz gave her opinion on that. Maybe not knowing the little history of recent pm's between you and Ray, but in full knowledge of the bigger history of crap lobbed at Ray about his children.
Anyway you slice it, none of this has any bearing on liz as a moderator at MDB.

Cam is merely harrassing the crap out of Liz on account of sour grapes. He does this repeatedly to female posters because they can make him look like the simple minded ass that he is. He doesn't have anything left in his intellectual tools but to swing insults at this.

I actually get along well with Cam. We have crossed swords a few times but nothing major.

for what it's worth, I don't think Everybody Wang Chung is objecting to your objections about the content of the alleged PM per se. Rather, he's complaining that, as an MDB moderator who is arguably expected to respect the "private" nature of PMs on MDB, you nonetheless provided a forum for this material to be hashed out on The Cafeteria. In other words, his complaint--if I'm understanding him correctly--has to do with the way he feels you handled ostensibly "private" MDB material.
To a certain extent, I think he's got a point. You had a thread over there, started by Ray A, that contained a screen shot of an MDB poster's PM. As an MDB moderator, I kind of think you should have deleted that. I get, too, that you felt it was different in the case of the Everybody Wang Chung PM because of (a) the nature of the alleged PM, and (b) because Ray had already posted it and you therefore felt it was "public" (though then again, it was only "public" to those people who saw it before Shades deleted it).
But, of course, at this juncture it's kind of a moot point.
Dream Team Liz banned me for posting a PM she sent me (a really nasty, nasty PM).
Is she going to ban herself for encouraging the posting of a PM on her forum?
