Have you considered why stem writes the way he does? One of the things that the opening to public view last evening of thecafeteria revealed was that stem actually can compose intelligible sentences. So his affect here is a put on. He's inviting that very dog piling and ridicule.

stem worked long and hard to win this award. You might compare Scotty's posts in this thread. Clever, but stem is the living embodiment here at MDB of this award. Scotty, sorry to say, will never even be in the running.

I just noticed your post SP. Well I haven't been reading the Terrestial level closely for the past year or so. The first time I really noticed stem's posts was when Stak wrote that I was like him (or something to that effect) and it was meant to be derogatory. I had no idea what that meant. So I have read a few of Stem's posts recently..he thinks the Book of Mormon is historical for example...and I can appreciate people disagreeing with him. What I don't do SP because I think it's cowardly, not right and I disagree with that sort of posting behavior, is I don't join in with others in a thread to dog pile, I don't encourage others to do so, I make judgements of others by what I read by them not on what others say etc. I may insult someone in a discussion mainly because I disagree with them but generally I don't insult individuals without warrant which I give or it being part of a discussion I'm having with them or it being something they've said about me. I don't pipe up in threads out of the blue for the simple purpose of harassing anyone, and my insults are generally not of the type of telling someone they are a "f*****g r*****". Those things I refrain from because I don't respect that sort of posting behavior. I guess it is all part of message board game playing rhetoric...when unchecked by moderation.

I disagree with your action of starting up a thread for the sole purpose of attacking and insulting Stem. If you had a one on one beef with him and he said something about you or disagreed with a point you made..then yes, start up a thread and address it or insult if warranted and backed up with reasoning.

As far as your criticism of Stem's posts being unintelligible..every thing I've read by him has been intelligible.

I've been subjected to ridicule and attacks so I can empathize with anyone I see getting treatment along the same lines. It's generally cowards piping in to help others attack...and a function of tribalism. If they want to attack...do it one on one..and back up their attacks.

Deal with Stem one on one. There is no necessity nor is it right, for this kind of crap of starting up attack threads on one individual with the idea of encouraging others to join in and/or knowing you have others who will likely pipe up in the thread with their 2 cent derogatory remarks.

I know you mean that as a broad category, not just those that have that specific phrase. I think they will taper off rather quickly, provided he does not put that affect back on his post writing.

I've been over this with plenty of posters, SP. You ahve me all wrong. I showed up here to post only because as I searched around the net and came upon this place, I noticed posters here had quoted me from elsewhere out of context to mock and deride me. How weird is that? So i piped up not taking this stuff seriously at all, because afterall who would seriously go after a virtual nobody, all being anonymous? It made no sense at all, and still does not. Thus, at times I"ll still post as if no one's taking this garbage seriously. I hope people truly learn to lighten up a bit and stop taking it all so seriously.

Why that pissed me off is because you were oblivious to why his attack was unjustified. You didn't understand the issue on induction.
