You can. Check the box next to the message you want to delete on the right-hand side, then look for the drop-box at the bottom right of your screen. Change it to "Delete marked" and press "Go."

Nice. Thanks!

In the face of madness, rationality has no power - Xiao Wang, US historiographer, 2287 AD.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

This is correct. I sent him a PM. That is what he is referring to.

We've always been told that the moderating team does not have the ability to "dig around" in posters' PM mailboxes, and I believe them.

Liz did send me a PM late last night, however, and that's what my post was responding to.

I don't understand then why you chose to make this a public point as opposed to just responding directly back to Liz in private?

Scratch's free choice, surely? It is only revealing the content of PM's that transgresses board rules. It is not uncommon for posters to say publicly "X, stop bothering me with your <opprobrious descriptor> PMs", and under several conceivable circumstances it might be quite reasonable for them to do so.

Absolutely. One of the things I like about this board is freedom of choice. I just didn't understand the reasoning behind making it public and that was what I was asking Scratch.
