Oh, so I legitimately have real informants now? I thought they were supposed to be figments of my imagination?

Didn't Joshua Skains have a board once that had exactly the same problem? It is interesting how organic a board can be and how they all go through the same growing pains. With the heavy-handed approach at MAD, it seems inevitable that people and emotions would get shifted in different ways. The change is good. We all learn from it. This most recent meltdown is just a smaller piece of a greater meltdown of Mormon apologetics, in general. The whole debate is lop-sided because the Mormons are just plain wrong and every avenue of how wrong they are has been explored ad nauseum.

All that's left, really, is the community. Because of that, the nature of the conflict has turned inward within the community in a way that circumstances haven't provided for until now. I will continue to follow the soap opera.

All I can say for those so emotionally invested is to use the frustration and hurt to learn and become better.

Very astute.

H.

I have Lupus, LDST. I have good days and bad days. I didn't realize I had done something to offend you. I thought we had moved past differences but apparently not. Go ahead and snark, I suppose.

Marg, I don't have the energy or inclination to go back and forth with you about a board that you know virtually nothing about and a board that is dead, anyway.

I have said what I wanted to say to Scratch. I had wanted to keep it private. He was the one who insisted on it being settled in the open.

So there it is. I'm done.

Just saw this.

Scratch, how do you explain your ability to quote entire threads at the beginning of this thread? I did not make my board public until AFTER you started quoting threads here.

There are only 2 explanations:

1. You circumvented my security in order to see my board yourself.

2. Someone from my board shared information with you.

Frankly, I am becoming more inclined to believe explanation #1 at this point.

Exploiting my board either way was a slimy thing to do.

OK...now I'm done.

Liz, are you inclining away from #2 because that would mean facing the fact that your selection of one or more of the individuals personally invited to your board stabbed you in the back?
(Liz, that sounds like I'm being nasty, but I'm not. I just think a traitor in your midst is more likely and that's got to hurt).

Jesus. I just Internetted Lupus.

I hope people back off, Liz. I know I've been a poop to her in the past, but dayum.

All I'm saying, Liz, is that there have been numerous occasions when the things I've reported upon have been dismissed as being "voices in my head"--e.g., the times when various allegations about the Maxwell Institute surfaced. Perhaps these naysayers will think twice the next time I relay "intel" from an informant.

As for the two possibilities you offered... Well, let's just say there is at least one more possibility that you're not considering. It has to do with something that one or more of your friends has already said to you on this thread--things that you've largely ignored.

DCP and maybe Bob Crockett are the only two individuals I am aware of who have claimed that your informants were "voices in your head". I have often thought that, perhaps, your informants may be a bit unreliable at times, but I have never seriously thought you were just making things up.

I guess I am more dense than you think I am, Scratch..as far as the other possibility is concerned. I really don't know what the third possibility is, and would seriously like to.

If you would share that with me, I would seriously appreciate it. I am not great at guessing games. I much prefer things being laid out on the table.

Just so we're clear. I am asking you....directly...How did you gain access to my Cafeteria website?
