As for the two possibilities you offered... Well, let's just say there is at least one more possibility that you're not considering. It has to do with something that one or more of your friends has already said to you on this thread--things that you've largely ignored.
DCP and maybe Bob Crockett are the only two individuals I am aware of who have claimed that your informants were "voices in your head". I have often thought that, perhaps, your informants may be a bit unreliable at times, but I have never seriously thought you were just making things up?
Boy, and given the unfounded statements those two are known to have made, liz's circumscriptive observation to it being just those two that have questioned the existence of those informants (reliable or not) lends a great deal of weight towards Dr Scratch's credibility.

I have Lupus, LDST. I have good days and bad days. I didn't realize I had done something to offend you. I thought we had moved past differences but apparently not. Go ahead and snark, I suppose.
I was sincerely concerned, Liz. Jersey Girl tiraded on all of us for making your symptoms worse. So I couldn't figure out if we were allowed to joke around any more, and all that, and then I see you are back here talking about this issue still, so I couldn't figure out if you were better or not. I assume you are better.
My comment wasn't really snarky. It was just this - You keep talking about how your board was supposed to be a whole bunch of stuff, including private. However, I think that you were really misinformed or naïve if you felt that creating a site with an esoteric URL would make it hard to find. No one needs to do more than use google with a few search terms and your site is easily found in google's cache.
On the internet, nothing is private. Absolutely nothing. But everything is permanent. Absolutely everything. So, before you embark on your next adventure, you'd be well informed to study up and figure out how to keep things truly private.

The third possibility is that you were naïve in thinking that you could invite certain people to the party and expect everything to run smoothly. You apparently thought that people's respect for you would supercede their willingness to tolerate or put up with other kinds of crap. That--more than anything else--just as several of your good friends have told you right here on this thread, is what ultimately led to this Meltdown of Epic Proportions.

I appreciate your advice, LDST, and your concerrn. I am also glad that I didn't do something else to offend you. There have been enough misunderstandings on the board lately.
You're right. I was new at the whole message board creation thing. Even though I have a background in programming, I still had little experience with all of the facets surrounding message board security.
I do have a couple of questions based on what you told me.
The board was in a private mode when Scratch lifted the material that began this thread. Was the material accessable through Google cache even with the privacy settings intact?
If you google search my board now, you do get the beginning sentences of some of the threads, but when you actually click on the link, it says, "The record no longer exists". And, of course, it doesn't because I deleted all of those forums whole cloth. It was an impulse move on my part. I was just so tired of all of the contention, and just wiped everything out. Now, I think it probably would have been smart for me to have saved the threads on my hard drive before deleting them, but I did not.
My questions to Scratch remain:
How did you access my board? Google cache? A Cafeteria board member? Using another member's sign on?
Also....Why was it so important for you to go to great lengths to beat the security of my board? Was it just a challenge for you? You say you don't hate me, and that you were "supportive" of my board. How was hacking into my board security showing me "support"?

The fact still remains that you found out about the material of my board somehow, Scratch.
So you are saying that rather than come to me, these people who were "unwilling to tolerate or put up with crap" came to you instead?
You seem to be making a lot of assumptions (or accusations?) on the basis of shaky or non-existent evidence, Liz. So, I guess I'll fall back on my original comment: listen to your friends, and follow your own advice.

You aren't going to weasel out of this that easily, Scratch. Here are the facts:
You posted information from my private site. You were not a member of my site and did not have legitimate access.
All I am asking you is how you obtained the information, Scratch. You have still evaded the answer to that question.

Because of several things (including my respect and like for you), I have posted very little in this bizarre thread (Other than my few comments regarding the PM that was posted on the public MDB board).
Liz, it was clearly one of your café members that shared this information. I will not comment on why they shared it, but it was one of your members who decided to do so. (No question about it)
Ceeboo's right, Liz. You're fixating on the fact that I somehow got the information. And how important is that, exactly? You've said yourself that the board's demise was a result of "contention." Well, as the threads I quoted clearly show, that contention was well under way prior to me posting anything.

Just trying to help.
Peace, Ceeboo
Thanks, Ceeboo, I like you, too.
All I want is for Scratch to confirm how he got the information from my board.
Want this thread to go away?
If I can just read, in Scratch's own words, exactly how he got the information from my site, I will let this go. If he confirms that someone from my site gave him the information, I won't ask who did it. I just want to know if he hacked in, or if someone gave him the information. It is a very simple request.
