Thundering.

Next Thursday is the day where many will gather and eat Turkey (Which is why I was concerned for Turkey being out in the open and posting like this. Perhaps he/she should be laying low for a few weeks)

Not only is that irredeemably weak, it's also a good reason for investigators to stay with their current faith, and not convert to Mormonism. I guess Monson never read what the Book of Mormon has to say about blindly holding on to the "traditions of your fathers."

I have interspersed real Monson quotes with fake ones. Can you discern which is which (without Googling)?

Let us have the courage to defy the consensus, the courage to stand for principle. Courage, not compromise, brings the smile of God’s approval. A moral coward is one who is afraid to do what he thinks is right because others will disapprove or laugh. Remember that all men have their fears, but those who face their fears with dignity have courage as well.

As parents, we should remember that our lives may be the book from the family library which the children most treasure.

Our duty as parents is to shine the light of love and righteousness to light the path our children trod through the darkness and shadows of life.

Let us not talk falsely now. The hour is getting late.

We echo the words of the poet who said "trailing clouds of glory do we come from God who is our home" and so it is and so it ever shall be that our past is heavenly and our future divine.

The past is behind, learn from it. The future is ahead, prepare for it. The present is here, live it.

Oh yes, the past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it, or... learn from it.

Choose your love, Love your choice.

If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with.

We must never waver, never falter, always endure, and always be true to the faith of our fathers, to the sacred trust our mothers have placed within us.

Um, buff, this is not a real Monson quote. It was quark's Monsonesque. Try and keep up with your own thread eh?

Maybe I am wrong. I have never been able to suffer one complete "little Timmy Jones" talk ever.
