List of doctrine that has changed
Is there a list of doctrine that has changed over the years.
My version of official doctrine is stuff that was said in general conference, printed in the ensign, and found in the scriptures. I would believe this is the TBM's view of official doctrine as well.
Does anyone have a list of the doctrine that was changed under this definition?
I keep hearing about how it has changed but I don't have a good handle or understanding on the issue.

Re: List of doctrine that has changed
My understanding is the very nature of LDS official doctrine is it can't change. Therefore, anything that was at one time taught as doctrine, but has since changed, was actually never official doctrine. It was just opinion. We know that because otherwise it wouldn't have changed. If something was taught as doctrine, and is still taught as doctrine in basically the same form (with some possible minor tweaks) then that is official doctrine. That's my understanding at least.

Can we make this thread easier please?

I understand that. But under my definition of doctrine what has exactly changed?

Just for starters
Adam is no longer the same guy as God
Blacks can now have the Priesthood
Polygamy is now against God's law
The Lamanites were the 'literal' ancestors of the Native Americans
The Lamanites were then the 'principal' ancestors of the Native Americans
The Lamanites are now just 'among the ancestors' of the Native Americans

Perhaps most basic would be the evolution of the nature of God from Book of Mormon to D&C & King Follett.
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."

I'm sensing a pattern. LOL. If it continues, we will see:
The Lamanites were BFFs with the Native Americans.
The Lamanites were acquaintances with the Native Americans.
A Lamanite once talked to a Native American.
"We have taken up arms in defense of our liberty, our property, our wives, and our children; we are determined to preserve them, or die."

Speaking of Lamanites, it seems "white and delightsome" has also fallen out of favor.
Has there been any attempt to argue that 'pure' (the word that replaced 'white' in 2N 30:6) reflects the original intent of the verse?

The removal of the Lectures on Faith from the D&C is a big one. The nature of God changed, which is a pretty big deal, I would think.

That is the position of the Roman Catholic Church.
