When Did the MAD Board "Jump The Shark"?
I was on the chat board over at MAD a few days ago and a couple of people were discussing how the MAD Board has changed since its founding. The consensus was that the topics had become very narrow and boring over the last few months. I agree.
I really think MAD has jumped the shark. If I had to point to one event, I would have to choose when Will Schryver was made a Moderator.

I hope Chung is able to point to more than Murphy's Laws of the Perversity of the Universe in his determination.

I think they reached a tipping point where too many people were banned a few years ago. Also, it seems the recent name and domain change really reduced traffic to the site.
Or maybe the online culture has just changed over the years...?

MDD may be just on the verge of getting very interesting. It seems that Kevin Graham has been involved in some recent email correspondence with Prof. Robert Ritner:
They are already in a dead panic, and Kevin hasn't even posted anything yet.

He ought to just post it here.

I agree with you that the banning of several of the more interesting posters has had a real chilling effect on the quality of the topics and conversation.
You are one of a handful of posters at MAD that, for whatever reason, have made it through unscathed. Keep it up. I love your comments.

Agreed. He should just post it over here. Care to take bets on when Kevin will be banned again from MAD?

Re: When Did the MAD Board "Jump The Shark"?
For some of the reasons you and cinepro already outlined, they are going to be extremely reluctant to ban him. Part of the reason they brought him back was so that Will S. could hopefully score a few points and bring them back "into the game." If they kick Kevin out again, it will be yet another death knell for the Book of Abraham. So he's going to have to deliver a major-league coup de grace against them before he'll be banned. If he has something juicy from Ritner--e.g., further stuff about Gee--it may very well be enough to get him eighty-sixed from the joint. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever thought of trying to join MAD, Dr. Scratch? I would be curious to see if you would even be allowed to register before they banned you. It's pretty interesting to read occasional posts by Hamblin, Schryver, Reynolds, DCP and other mopologists when they all gang up and take cheap shots at you from the comfort of their board.
It's clear that you are enemy #1 at MAD. Keep up the good work, my friend.

Scratch was banned from "MAD" in 2006. It was then the FAIRboards. There's is zero chance he'd survive two seconds there.
But nevertheless, continue to be another Scratch ass-kisser.
It suits you to a tee.
Do you even know who "Scratch" is? Didn't think so.
