One really does wonder how Ray can be so sure about this.

God told me that Fosters is a fraud.

And His word is good enough for me. I also tasted it, and it tasted like Elephant piss. So I think God is right.

I really think MAD has jumped the shark. If I had to point to one event, I would have to choose when Will Schryver was made a Moderator.

The MAD of FAIR is quite different from the MDD board now. One reason for this is because the mission of the new board is different. It is no longer an apologetic board. Rather, it is a discussion board about Mormonism. There is no reason to have the same atmosphere as we have here: full of spite and contention.

Wait, say what?

Breaking character a little, I'm afraid I'm going to have to CFR on that one, Doctor Scratch. Certainly the powers-that-be at MD&D must know that William's Mopologetics dry up and blow away like chaff whenever Kevin enters the room. They've seen it, what, a hundred times already?

I've been doing this a while and have seen a lot of strange stuff, but them bringing Kevin back so that William can hopefully score a few points against Kevin stretches credibility a little too far even for my playbook. Sure, I could certainly buy it if it was the other way around, but this is a bit much.

Dr. Shades, I think you might be guilty of looking at this situation through the eyes of a reasonable, intelligent and logical person. In order to make sense of what happens at MAD, you need to put on the warped mopologetic glasses of illogic and insanity.

I have seen Cinepro, Ceeboo, LDST, Kevin, Mortal Man, Chris Smith and Consig (just to name a few) completely dismantle a mopologetic argument and then in the very next post, watch Julian, Calmoriah, Will, Bill Hamblin or Pa Pa state that such post actually supports the mopologetic argument. It happens all the time and it's completely insane.

I think many posters at MAD have traveled so far down the rabbit hole that they actually think a poster like Kevin somehow supports their position.

It kind of reminds me of watching Jack Nicholson's character slowly go insane in the movie "The Shining". Jack's character starts his journey to insanity so gradually that when, at the end, he is a full blown maniac trying to kill everyone, it comes at a complete suprise.

MAD is nearing the end of their journey.

Whoa! Back up the moderator bus! When did this happen?!!!! Schryver is a mod at MDD?

I would need a CFR on that one. I very much doubt he is a Mod.

Good morning, Everybody Wang Chung

Under no circumstance (ever) should the name of Ceeboo be included on a list of names like Kevin, Mortal Man, or Chris Smith. (Ever!)

I will allow the possible space/room for Cinepro, LDST, and Consig. :)

MAD is nearing the end of their journey.

I don't know about that? (Perhaps you are right?)

I would suggest that MAD has chosen (by clear design and purpose. in my opinion) different roads to travel, but I do not believe that their journey is nearing an end.

Peace,

Yeah, you are probably correct. I should state that I believe MAD is nearing the end of their journey towards irrelevance.

On second thought, was MAD ever relevant?

ROFL

In my view, it's precisely the opposite: it used to be a discussion board, but they have turned it into an apologetic board where only one side gets to discuss anything. That's their prerogative, but I agree that the mass bannings a few years ago (full disclosure: that was when I was banned) started a downward trend in the quality of the board.

In an odd way, I'm glad I can't see the board anymore, as I'm not tempted to go back (not that they'd let me). I used to think it would be good just to go back and try and mend fences, but there's no point in that.

I completely share your view.

I used to think it would be good just to go back and try and mend fences,

After being gone from the MAD for several months now, I still think this.

but there's no point in that.

I'm not sure/convinced? (I have and continue to digest/ponder this)
