Good Ol' Westward Expansion and Brigham Young
My son got to learn about Brigham Young being a polygamist in school today. They watched a movie on the westward expansion.
He asked his dad how many wives BY had when he got home. My H was taken by surprise by the question and said he didn't know. I took the opportunity to tell my son that BY had over 50 wives, but that there was a lot of different marriage customs and experimentation at the time so they weren't all "wife wives" and that there is a wiki page with a list of their names. I'm really looking forward to getting into a discussion about polygamy with him soon.
I'd like to thank the public education system for opening up this dialogue in my home.

But would they have the balls to mention Joseph Smith's polygamy? For some reason it's okay to acknowledge Brigham Young was doing it, but not Joseph Smith.

Just Me,
I'm looking forward to the post where you describe the day Little Just Me trots up to Dad and says "Dad, what exactly was Joseph doing with Fanny in the barn?"

Not in Utah. I wasn't sure if that was what you were referring to or not. :D
Drifting, that would indeed be a fun post.

Excellent point, some were for cooking and cleaning and others did the laundry.

Moses 2 wives
Solomon 700 wives 300 concubines
Muhammad 13 wives
or have they
King Abdullah over 30 wives

Yes. In much of history women have been treated as slaves and property. Exellent point.
