You'll get an apology from me when hell freezes over.

The Drinking Cabbie has yet to apologize to me for his two sins. Good luck with that!

1. There is nothing wrong with drinking a bit now and then. A nice glass of wine with dinner, beer on a hot summer day, champagne toast for a wedding :-) is really okay.

2. Alcohol is perhaps THE most potentially destructive legal drugs on the market. For folks whose alcohol consumption is such that it interferes with normal functioning, the problems associated with it can impact their loved ones for generations.

I reached my lifetime limit for consumption of alcohol in two years time while living in Europe. I drank until I got fully sick of it. And while JB is back into making/bottling his own beer again, I just don't drink any more unless it's a wedding toast.

But I'm telling ya....catch me next week and I might be thinking/drinking otherwise! I could be dragging up the bottles from the basement at any second!

:-)

So really, who knows?

So, hypocrite, would like to bring your good mate Droops into this too now? No wonder you understand him so well!

The drinking cabbie is about to hit the sack, at 6.30am, after a 12 hour shift, and the drinking cabbie doesn't drink at all on working days.

So you never drink and post either?

Nope. I actually possess self control, mate.

Here Ray,

Dig this. Those were nothing more than jokes that I made at the time. Those are not evidence of me "admitting" that I drink and why? Because I don't.

All this year, starting in January (except for a hiatus I took from posting here due to private circumstances) I have made repeated remarks such as "I so deserve drugs", "I so deserve a drink" and why?

Because I do. I've been through the lower parts of hell this year (and you know it) and if you think for a single second that Jersey Girl would choose to get half shot and not be there to respond to the needs of her children, then you don't know anything about me at all. Unlike much of the world, I prefer to go at life stone cold sober and be fully there for my family.

I would not, under any circumstance, put myself in a position to hear the phone ring at 2 am and have one of my kids hear their mother half shot and unable to respond to their call for help. I would never compromise my relationships or the well being of my children or subject them to the embarrassment of an unavailble drunken parent.

I fully resent your subjecting people such as myself to your drunken meanderings on this thread in the past week. You lobbed several insults my way that firstly, make little sense at all and secondly, will you ever take responsibility for.

Either you can't read, can't think or you're just the biggest jerk that exists.

Otherwise, screw yourself, Ray.

Repeatedly.

I'll let you stew on that one. It's pretty simple. You should have it figured out by the time I get back this afternoon.

Really? And DCP's reference to "assault rifles" was..........???? Serious?

Even Liz knows better. But you don't wave any opportunity to capitalise on it, do you?
