What? No. I pointed out that you seem angry. Your continuing down this road seems to support my previous presumption. Uh oh...

I do. I see how you can't seem to let things go after a couple of years time, quite minor things at that, and then how you can't seem to stop yourself from commenting on the guy when he doesn't even post here.

Well, then, if 2 years is too long ago, you'll join me in calling for the canard about a 5+ year crusade of character assassination to end, right? After all, at least 3+ years of that characterization predates 2 years ago, right?

I'm afraid I might have to read your posts with a great amount of pity from now on, SP. Quite a revealing little conversation we had. srsly?

A good first step, stem, would be for you to post here, on MDB (since we know from his posts elsewhere that DCP monitors the threads and postings here), for DCP to drop all this silliness about a crusade by Dr Scratch to assassinate DCP's character. After all, it's well ancient history per your high-minded standards. DCP is the one that opens the historical floodgates to at least 5+ years back in time. So there must be the first place you will seek to tighten up things to the here and now.

What, it's okay for the great and powerful DCP, he who may never be wrong nor questioned, to dredge up the past, all the way back to 5+ years if he is excoriating Dr Scratch, but that same Bellicose One is exempt from his own conduct being brought up now just 2 years into the past?

Is that another example of Mormon duplicity?

Now don't let the crickets chirp too long, stem, before you make your post calling on DCP to stop claiming that there has been a crusade to assassinate his character going on for 5+ years. Will the L-skinny list not let you do it?

It is certainly yet another example of stemelbow hypocrisy.

Well there's more of a difference than that. For instance, you're a female, right? But oh well. I think even the brightest amongst can be pretty stupid about things. I don't know what that has to do with what I said, but so be it. You don't think DCP is stupid. I'll make that note. And just to clarify, neither do I.

Really?

So this focus has continued for five years, according to those who have studied the issue. Scratch posts his observation on a board with a relatively small population of posters and likely readers, According to you, DCP's goal is to prevent readers from believing Scratch's assertions about him. To do so, for most of those past five years, he has interacted with Scratch more than he's interacted with any other single poster. He has shown no interest in discussing LDS related topics in general. His only interest has been interacting with Scratch.

Has his voluminous postings on this board with Scratch achieved his goal?

But wait - not only have the majority of his significant number of posts on this board been devoted to Scratch, but he also brings Scratch's statements to the attention of others on other boards.

Has bringing Scratch's statements about him to the attention of others who may have been previously completely unaware of Scratch's statements achieved his goal?

But wait!!! There's more!!! In addition to drawing attention to Scratch's statements by assuring the long-life of threads by continually interacting with Scratch, and in addition to drawing attention to Scratch's statements by bringing them to the attention of others on other boards, DCP, at times, deliberately says things that he know Scratch will likely pull out of context and use against DCP.

Do you honestly think that DCP thinks that this approach has worked, if his goal is to simply refute Scratch so people don't believe false statements about him?

People engage in behaviors because there's a pay-off for them somewhere. The question is simple: what is the practical effect of how DCP has handled Scratch all these years?

It's obvious. The end result has been more attention has been paid to Scratch and his statements. DCP has single-handedly assured that more people read Scratch's statements about DCP than ever would have happened otherwise.

Do you really think DCP is so stupid as to not realize that?

DCP has a history of seeking out the worst online behavior of exmormons or critics, and then calling attention to that bad behavior. The inevitable conclusion is that this bad behavior is representative of exmormons or critics somehow. In this case, DCP has not only sought out Scratch's behavior, but he has encouraged it. And I think he's smart enough to know that.

I had a situation in which I truly felt stalked by a poster I sensed was malicious. I first tried to reply to him, to refute his statements, as you assert that DCP is doing. All that did was encourage the bad behavior. I figured that out after a while, and simply put him on ignore.

That worked. I do not interact with that poster because I sincerely view that poster as a malicious stalker.

Is it possible that other posters believe what he says about me? (if, indeed, he still goes on about me, I have no idea and don't want to know) Doubtful. And if they're stupid enough to believe it, I really don't care what they think.

This whole Scratch/DCP thing has always been a game. and there have always been two players with their own goals and agenda.

Give DCP some credit, for heaven's sake.

I don't even know what you want me to say, Beastie. I responded because I don't think relying on your best guess of people's motives is not a useful way to proceed. here you seem to question his motives even more. Who cares? I don't say responding to every little thing by Scratch, which DCP doesn't do, is a useful thing at all. I've told him before that he'd be best just to ignore him.
