Kishapalooza Update
Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity on the tour. We traveled up and down the I-15 corridor between Layton and Spanish Fork, putting many miles on the old tour bus. Each stop had the usual gathering of adoring fans, but the best meetings were with the cyber-denizens of MDB.
Don Bradley joined the tour for most of the day, serving as a special security consultant to keep us from getting into the usual costly tour mayhem. Our lawyers were grateful he came along.
The two highlights of the day were our visit to the Apocalrock Visitor Center and the tour party at the Red Iguana, a popular stop for big acts. At the visitor center we were given an enlightening lecture on the Apocalrock, drank deeply of its cool waters, and listened to the wonderful musical stylings of Nightlion. There we were joined by sock puppet and heard much of his interesting Mormon story.
Next it was off to the Red Iguana, where the special surprise was the presence of The Mighty Builder in the company of Darth J. There we ate fine Mexican vittles with Rockslider, sock puppet, Nightlion, TMB, Darth J, and Don Bradley. TMB lectured the group on the dangers of ecclesiastical pride in managing finances as well as hypocrisy in general. Nightlion witnessed to us mightily. It was a fine gathering, not least because a generous patron picked up the tab.
There may yet be more Kishapalooza events. We will keep you posted. If not, we look forward to next year, and will always be warmed by the memories of this year's gathering. A fine M'hock to all!

Nightlion is a cool cat, is he not?
ETA: This post also reminded me of my seething resentment of Darth J's refusal to meet me

Nightlion is completely cool. Lumen Kishkumen heartily recommends the Apocalrock Visitor Center as a must-see destination for all thoughtful travelers. I will never forget my visit! Oh, and his Korg workstations are totally boss.

I'm really sorry I didn't make it, but my son's orchestra concert was pretty good.

S'Ok, Runtu! We hope to squeeze in one more event for you and Shades, if time permits. A son's orchestra concert is far more precious than even the wildest Kishapalooza event.

It sounds like even Ken Kesey would have been envious!

What a generous comment, gramps! Thanks.
On the other hand, one might detect a Cuckoo's Nest allusion in there, but I'd still be flattered.

The only future you and Kish share is the fate of all Mensheviks. That is, squandering your twilight years away in an Alabama labor camp whilst the true vanguard of the Party steers us into the future.
