Anne Osborn herself talked about it in an interview. It's online somewhere; that's where I read it.
Beyond that, ask Liz whether her uncle-in-law was offered another wife as a replacement for his first wife or not.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
But the Brethren are so busy, they don't have time to actually develop a relationship, so how else are they supposed to get another woman in their bed?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
Apparently Oaks was originally offered Sherri Dew, but she declined the "calling."
Wow. It musr have been hard to decline as I'm sure she was told it was what the lord wants, and it came ftom the brethren. I also heard she prefers carpet to hard wood.

I've never heard of it either. I know it happened back in the days of Joseph Smith and Brigham young, but I didn't know it was still going on. Of course any chapel Mormon will be disgusted and say it's an anti Mormon lie.

Dr. Shades wrote:I was really disturbed when I heard the story of Anne Osborn, his second wife. She said that she was "called" by the brethren to be Poelman's second wife, even though she didn't know him. She reported that she didn't understand it, but went along with it anyway.
This implies, to me, that general authorities consider themselves to be an elite brand of stud "bulls" who are entitled to their pick of the beautiful successful single childless Mormon women.
Liz, didn't you say that your uncle-in-law, an apostle, was offered a new wife after his first one died, but declined?
No. Some of the brethren suggested that he should get married again, but didn't have anyone specific in mind. He stated that he already had a wife, and he would see her again in the hereafter.

A thread on General Authority pick up lines would be quite amusing.
"Sister are you for real? Because you sure look like an angel to me."
(In the temple) "Come here often?"
"Why don't you have your spirit call my spirit?"
"The Lord wants to call you to a new position."
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."

I disagree with this characterization. Part of their explicit duties are to act a Prophets, Seers, Revelators and Yentas.
Dr. Shades wrote:OOPS! Correction: She was called to be his second wife after his first wife died. I apologize for the confusion.
Apparently Oaks was originally offered Sherri Dew, but she declined the "calling." He ended up being offered someone else, who accepted.
Russel M. Nelson is another one who had a new wife assigned to him following the death of his first wife.
I am skeptical about this allegation of assigned and offer. Can you document this? Otherwise why not figure they just met their wives they married after a first wife died the normal way...through dating and courtship.
Really such an astounding claim needs to be documented.

This is how I remembered this. I am calling BS on this Shades. Put up on this one and prove it or retract it.

Let Jesus, God, or the HG to feel out their new wives and then hand them off.
