Because Trent Harris will always be a part of Mormonism.

Ha! You know, I was thinking of adding to my list a few seconds ago---updating with writers and other cultural things---and this crossed my mind, too!

Blixa reminding me of stuff that is long gone reminded me of road shows. Every year, our stake would have a giant road show and film festival competition.

Yeah, same with my stake in California in the '80's. When did the Church stop doing road shows?

The last road show I remember participating in was when I was in the 7th grade (around 1977). Our Stake started doing musicals every year after that.

They were fun, too. But there was something really unique about the road shows. There were specific rules you needed to follow to put on a proper road show. They were very ensemble in nature. No solos aloud. It was just a cool tradition.

What's this?

Dutch oven cooking (the real Mormon cuisine)

I know some Mormons that do this on camps. Soooo goooood!

The mummies on Temple Square

I have seen these all the time! They are usually the girls with babies.

As god is man may become, as man is god once was.

This was still taught in my Elders qurom about a year and a half ago.

My favorite things about Mormonism is:
Food is everywhere!

Unlike some other people I had a really good scouting experience. I love thinking back to those camps. I know this isn't really Mormonism but I am not sure if I would've been in scouts if my parents weren't Mormon.

The doctrine of becoming a god.

Instant friends. Kind of nice when you move to a new place.

Alway some activity you can go to if you want.

Satan in the temple. I always laughed at his acting and kind of enjoyed it. My Dad likes the crow in the temple movie.

Mormonism gave me a way different background than most people. It's a good and bad thing in a way. I almost think that getting out of Mormonism gives you a different perspective on things than other people. Not saying it's better but it's just different.

Joseph Smith. He was a great guy. The more I read about him, the more I have to admire him.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

That is not an LDS hymn.

I've been to one Stake road show.

Totally loved it!
