Jersey

Thank you for your thoughts good friend. Thank you for your support and prayers for us through our tremendous loss this year.

Today was hard but still joyful. Usually I am asked to give a blessing on he meal. My FIL knew I eas hesitant but asked me anyway (we were at his house) . He later thanked me because he knewe how hard it would be for any of the family. I was glad to do it after all though it was tearful.

Yes LDS sing the song Count Your Blessings. My daughter and I have sung this together many times the past eight months.

Just to share a bit, I had Thanksgiving yesterday because my children would be elsewhere today. We went out to eat and had a good time. When one of my fellow ward members learned that I would be alone today, they brought me a wonderful Thankgiving dinner. I am ever so grateful when blessings occur in the spirit of love. This one made me feel good all day long.

I thought of you and yours today, as I have most other days. I know how hard the holidays can be and I think you already knew when you read it, that a part of the OP was dedicated to you.

How do we get through living hell like this?

One day at a time, one hour and sometimes one breath at a time. Our lives can turn on a dime with one phone call. Be glad for the moments of peace and pleasure that can be had, for they are what fortifies you for the journey.

Living can sometimes be a situation of being there to carry the other along and grace is recognizing when they have carried you.

So true!
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

So my comments on this thread were moved to the Telestial.

Can someone tell me why? Were they offensive? Was this at the request of Jersey, who is "praying more than she ever has"?

Please explain.

If so, get ready for a tidal wave revealing hypocrisy.

To answer your question, I suspect that your post may have been moved because of this:

RULES FOR THE TERRESTRIAL FORUM AND THE OFF-TOPIC FORUM:

Keep all communications "Rated PG" to "Rated PG-13" or better.
No blatant or otherwise obvious personal attacks allowed.
Do not use the "F" or "S" words or any of their many variants. Altering the spelling or substituting a symbol for a character does not give you a free pass to disregard this rule.
No specific temple content allowed.

Personally, I am happy to see this rule enforced. Those who cannot express themselves without swearing can do so freely in Telestial.

Those (like me) who find that expletives and abuse generate more heat than light will be more at home in the terribly terribly refined cucumber-sandwiches-and-weak-tea atmosphere here in Terrestrial, where our lack of hairy chests and deep voices will not be so cruelly obvious.
Zadok:
I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

I think that Ray's poem, however, was ignored by whomever moved his post, and hiis poem belongs here:

RayAgostini wrote:On the personal side, I hope things improve for you. I really feel for you, there:

Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire,
Unuttered or expressed;
The motion of a hidden fire
That trembles in the breast.

Prayer is the burden of a sigh,
The falling of a tear
The upward glancing of an eye,
When none but God is near.

(Moderator Note) I am resubmitting Just Me's comments here. It looks like the merging messed up the initial OP setup.

I am thankful for the friendships I have forged on this forum. I am thankful for our crappy, dilapidated chatroom.

I think she asked for an update (well an update from four months ago) on personal status.
