What do you hate most about the LDS religion?

All the added stress, baggage, pain, divisiveness, and very unfortunate and extremely difficult positions that the religion forces its members to deal with.

That a prophet cannot be wrong until he's dead, and then it seems most of what he said is 'wrong'.

That the LDS church teaches its members that "truth" can be found - on any question - via personal revelation. Every misstep of the church, every harmful dogma and/or practice, can be traced back to some prophet who thought he received "revelation" that turned out to be nothing more than his own culturally influenced opinion.

I agree. This is the biggest stumbling block in the church.

Not being aloud to have sex before marriage.

Tithing.

Not being aloud at temple marriages if you don't believe in Mormonism.

How the family feels sorry for you because you are not a Mormon anymore. Makes your family and friends think you have some serious problem.

How they put the Mormon god before family and friends.

Not being true in the way it claims.

proposing that a simple prayer test will result in feelings which can directly be relied upon as truth.

Using the Abraham and Isaac sacrifice story as a foundation for blind obedience and polygamy which results in corrupts the interpretation of the Old Testament.

(God was using Abrahams love of God and his own sense of sin which had been long a basis for human sacrifice to show that God does not want such sacrifice but wants better ways.)

You make a good point there, Nightlion. Obviously some folk don't read their scriptures very closely or they would not indulge in such arrogance. If God could raise up stones to be children of Abraham, or we are less than the dust of the earth, then why the regular emphasis on the blessings of being chosen? Pride will trip you up every time.
