All the added stress, baggage, pain, divisiveness, and very unfortunate and extremely difficult positions that the religion forces its members to deal with.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.
proposing that a simple prayer test will result in feelings which can directly be relied upon as truth.
Using the Abraham and Isaac sacrifice story as a foundation for blind obedience and polygamy which results in corrupts the interpretation of the Old Testament.
(God was using Abrahams love of God and his own sense of sin which had been long a basis for human sacrifice to show that God does not want such sacrifice but wants better ways.)

You make a good point there, Nightlion. Obviously some folk don't read their scriptures very closely or they would not indulge in such arrogance. If God could raise up stones to be children of Abraham, or we are less than the dust of the earth, then why the regular emphasis on the blessings of being chosen? Pride will trip you up every time.
