It really just rubbed me the wrong way to have to sit in an interview with a priesthood leader and tell him about how often I prayed, how often I read my scriptures, and even whether I was dating anyone. I kind of felt like that stuff was between me and deity, and not the 22-year-old Elder's Quorum Second Counselor du jour.
LOL! Well said.

Please don't leave, asbestosman. I fully support you in your faith and I don't want to see you become an asshole like Nehor did. He was once a nice fellow, but his obsession with Scratch drove him to tooldom.

Nehor is a LOTR fan. Perhaps he has escaped to the Shire. ;-)

It certainly is a cautionary tale. Proceed carefully if you seek to harass a regular poster on his home turf. People will tire of it and turn against you. How popular are people who regularly attack Hamblin or DCP on MDD? At least here one does not get banned for it. Nehor was free to be as big an asshole as he wanted. I guess he finally looked in the mirror and grieved over what was staring back at him. I would welcome him back and rejoice with him were he to return to the jocularity of former days.

Really it's just an excuse to omit anything that isn't faith promoting. For example when the church portrays the martyrdom of Joseph Smith they omit that Joseph Smith had a pistol and fired back at his attackers. Intentionally telling the story in a way that is more faith promoting at the expense of the truth. 'Milk before meat' is just a way to rationalize lying.
The self-hate they pile upon members once they're in their teens and then onward until death. They need to call a psychologist to the quorum of the 12.

Yes. And the "meat" is never forthcoming. All you get from authorized sources is milk, until you die of extreme lactose intolerance.
