I agree with it, Nightlion. That is the MO of almost all critics here (especially DJ, Schmo, and the nasty schreech): define God in their own terms, then knock that God down. Well, guess what? God cannot be defined in Human terms.
So since god can't be defined "in human terms" (as opposed to what? "Dog terms?") there's never been anything to knock down, right? In other words, you're basically admitting god doesn't exist, at least, as any definition ever stated.
Good to know.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

You're speaking of a hypothetical woman here. So it may not apply across the board. But some feel isolated and alone after such trauma, I hear. If Christ knows her feelings and situation then He also can know how to succor her. As to whether that helps any particular women in the here and now? It may for some and may not for others. Perhaps after this life they'll be able to see the benefits they received from Him.
What sense of peace would this women receive if the punishment for her rapists' sins was also commuted to Christ?
huh? I didn't suggest any about this.

What a shame the Mormon Church spends so much time and energy trying to do exactly this!
“We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.” Keith McMullin - Counsellor in Presiding Bishopric
"One, two, three...let's go shopping!" Thomas S Monson - Prophet, Seer, Revelator

The Book of Mormon is on Darth J's side. Perhaps you never understood the restored gospel.

I know "succor" is a Mormon buzz word currently (you can't go a single talk in GC without hearing it. I know it's in the KJV which makes it God's own divine vocabulary. But when spoken aloud it sounds like "sucker" - not the best choice of words for people in a religion that is generally regarded as some sort of scam or cult. Just trying to help.
In any case, just how does Jesus "sucker" this poor woman? What does he actually do?

Well, He could intervene and stop it happening in the first place ny using the Holy Ghost to nudge a police car or Priesthood holding member in the right direction, as per countless stories told in General Conference and Sacrament Meetings. He won't though, too busy finding car keys...

Beats me, I'm not this poor woman nor Jesus. For me, when suffering comes upon me, I usually feel many ways to manage to get over it. Is it me or is there other influence that helps me? That's a fair question. I feel obliged by my faith. Some don't. I also think it possible Jesus can help people without them even realizing He's helping.

He perhaps attempts to sop many to all evil things by such nudging. Who knows? Its probably possible for Him to show up and go all movie-type hero by out martial artsing bad guys, but that's just not in the program either by His divine wisdom or the laws of eternity. Perhaps sometimes we'll all look back on our meager understanding and find that we simply didn't understand that which was bigger.

It's more important to nudge someone and help them find a little money on the ground than to prevent a rape. God only intervenes in trivial matters.

God has time to intervene directly to help people find money on the ground or lost keys. But protecting rape victims just isn't that important to him.
