Since when does being unconventional make me a pseudo-Mormon?

Since you are unconventional, does that make you a pseudo-Mormon as well? After all, conventional Mormons don't attend Catholic Mass.

As a matter of fact, truly conventional Mormons wouldn't be caught dead on a message board, period...pro or anti-Mormon.

Here are 2 scriptural examples of God using the Holy Ghost to intervene and protect one of his children...

16 And it came to pass that when I, Nephi, had spoken these words unto my brethren, they were angry with me. And it came to pass that they did lay their hands upon me, for behold, they were exceedingly wroth, and they did abind me with cords, for they sought to take away my life, that they might leave me in the wilderness to be devoured by wild beasts.

17 But it came to pass that I prayed unto the Lord, saying: O Lord, according to my faith which is in thee, wilt thou deliver me from the hands of my brethren; yea, even give me strength that I may burst these bands with which I am bound.

18 And it came to pass that when I had said these words, behold, the bands were loosed from off my hands and feet, and I stood before my brethren, and I spake unto them again.
(1st Nephi Chapter 7)

52 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said many things unto my brethren, insomuch that they were confounded and could not contend against me; neither durst they lay their hands upon me nor touch me with their fingers, even for the space of many days. Now they durst not do this lest they should wither before me, so powerful was the Spirit of God; and thus it had wrought upon them.

53 And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: Stretch forth thine hand again unto thy brethren, and they shall not wither before thee, but I will shock them, saith the Lord, and this will I do, that they may know that I am the Lord their God.

54 And it came to pass that I stretched forth my hand unto my brethren, and they did not wither before me; but the Lord did shake them, even according to the word which he had spoken.

55 And now, they said: We know of a surety that the Lord is with thee, for we know that it is the power of the Lord that has shaken us. And they fell down before me, and were about to worship me, but I would not suffer them, saying: I am thy brother, yea, even thy younger brother; wherefore, worship the Lord thy God, and honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long in the land which the Lord thy God shall give thee.
(1st Nephi Chapter 17)

I'm guessing that the 9 year old girl in the OP just wasn't as important to the grand scheme of things as Nephi..

Why Me,
This is the link to the story.
The woman was a naïve teenager when the alleged abuse took place.
Her lawyers have gone to the trouble of locating the Elder in question and she is definitely suing the Church and the Elder himself.

Will you believe if it gets settled out of court like other cases involving the Church or does it have to go to trial?

As far as I understand it, it is mandatory that all teaches are conducted with a member present. It seems that either this girl is not telling the truth or the elders did not follow the procedure. Now if the elders did not follow procedure, I can not see the LDS church as being responsible for what happened. It seems obvious that the elder was not a molester with a police record. And it does seem that the elder has issues that he needs to deal with if this event did happen.

Again, all accusations need to be proven. However, with this missouri 1830's board, it is hang um high.

Where have I called you a psuedo-mormon? Can you show me please?

Strange that it took three years to report. And this case is not easy to prove three years later. However, what happens if the elder is innocent? What happens if false reports are drawn against men? Should this elder now be condemned if no proof is given except her word?

Suppose a woman claimed that you abused her three years ago? And you did not do it? Should you be condemned as a slime ball? All accusations need proof.

I agree, I think that's why the victim is suing through the courts rather than just gossiping about it or informing her Bishop.
How long has to elapse for it to class as strange?

Also, you have shown no empathy towards either this woman or the 9 year old girl - why?

Why Me is always happy to take the side of child molesters and blame the victims. I guess he's got a little Mormon in him after all.

I have already said that I believe the nine year old girl. But proof will still need to be shown. Now the irish woman I am not so sure about. 3 years is a long time to report abuse. And her story seems a little strange. But again, proof will need to be shown. If not, everyone is doomed to experiencing a false accusation.

Let me put it this way: you have concentual sex with a woman. 3 days later she claims that you abused her sexually but you didn't. The police arrest you and throw away the key. Sound good?
