His break in posting took place in August of this year.

So yeah, that's like 3 months, not a year.

In any case, if the person to whom the OP was directed doesn't object, why on earth should you?

I think that request is a better word than challenge. When I think of the word challenge I always think of a duel. I challenge you to a duel. The word request is polite and why would you need to be challenged anyway to hear the discussions?

And why would you want the discussions from someone who has more or less left the church? His slant will affect the discussions that he will give you and his responses will be half-hearted.

#1 on your list will be a challenge. The rest sounds fine. While I have no intention to make this exercise a joke, we can't escape the fact that it isn't real. That said, there can be much learned from role playing. The MTC uses role playing to help teach new missionaries.

I ask that you role play a nevermo that might consider being baptized Mormon. That, obviously, is not you. It can be a person that makes to you. This will allow the missionary discussions to continue beyond the point we got to before. Never, will I treat this like a joke.

I have extended a calling to Elder Tee (LDST) to be my companion, who has graciously accepted. Our objective is to convert you to the Mormon church and that is what we will work to do as a team, using the tools provided all LDS missionaries of today.

I can only be who and what I am, zee. I cannot play someone who might consider baptism because it isn't who/what I am and secondly, there is no need (using the scenario I proposed) to do that.

If you guys do your thing, it doesn't matter if I might consider baptism or not. If you want a Never to do this that might be willing to play dumb, then you need to choose someone else.

I try to avoid, at all times, saying anything on a message board that I wouldn't say in real life and isn't my authentic thoughts.

Well, to be fair, I did fudge that policy a bit just last week, but the content wasn't serious.

I consider this a serious request.

Since you issued a serious challenge to me, let me counter that will challenging you and your companion to take on someone who won't be an easy convert.

Otherwise it's BS and not a good way to test the methods.

If that's what you're after.

Excuse me, but what the hell does this have to do with you to start with? If I'm okay with it and zee and his companion are okay with it, what business is it of yours?

Stop trying to micromanage other people, why me.

LDS missionaries are constantly "challenging" their investigators to take the next step. Let's see you, why me, castigate the LDS Church and its missionary program and its missionaries for using that less than polite word.

I'm waiting. Let the castigating of them begin, why me.

A "mock" missionary lesson given by two X-LDS people- to a woman who is supposed to act like a real LDS investigator, but really isn't...............and this is supposed to be a "no joke" excercise?

Really?

Altar Boy,

Look on this thread for a link to the first time we did this. It was fruitful to say the least. I never acted like anything except who I am, much less a genuine investigator. The missionary knocked on my door, after all.

Ok, Jersey Girl.

Elder Tee? Are you good with the terms?

If we are all good with them, you should expect a knock on your door in the coming week or so. Just give us the green light when you are ready, Jersey Girl.

Thank you,

Elder Zee.
