Yeah it's fun to think about this stuff. I acknowledge that I only came about because of Mormonism, because without it my parents (through their ancestors) never would have met to create me, so like you said, my particular genetic makeup would have joined the trillions of trillions of trillions of trillions of possible genetic makeups in the space of all possible human genetic makeups over time that never were actually expressed in a living human.

The odds that any particular possible genetic makeup would come to be in a human being are vanishingly small, and yet here we are, all 7 billion of us on Earth at this time, defying all the odds. It's like we all won the lottery!

My own ancestors came from Wales on my dad's side, and Norway on my mom's. I have one grandfather (my mom's dad) who was a nevermo, but on my dad's side you have to go back much further to find nevermos, like the 1830s or 40s or so. One of my twice-great granddads was the guy who told the story, oft repeated in General Conference and other church sources, of pulling a handcart until he was so tired he decided to give up after making it to the next tree, rock, whatever, only to find the handcart pushing him (insinuation of angelic assistance).
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

It'd be so fun to compare pedigree charts!

Genealogy is a funny thing. I once knew a lady that tried to work into every conversation that her ancestors came across on the Mayflower.

Just thinking about it one time, I wondered how many ancestors she had that were not on that boat. Doing a little simple math (2 parents for each person, 25 years per generation) it came out to well over 1,000.

I wondered what murderers, thieves, prostitutes, etc. were in her ancestry that she was not telling us about.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

So are you saying you're an inbred Mormon Hillbilly?

That's correct. My in real life name is Floyd R (Arthur) Turbo.
