Implications are not good. You can also read the comments at the end of the article that I just linked to. Students need to come to understand that such behavior is within everyone if we do not recognize the symptoms in ourselves. But such is a life without productive guilt.

Talking about what you imply in your post about yourself not anything to do with article what so ever. I've never seen you insinuate this particular aspect about your persona before. Though I do see you leading up to it in all your various implied "I'm a sociologist" when explaining you expertise in pornography.

I can't say that they are more forgiving since a habitual sexual sinner may not receive absolution from the priest. In the catholic church one must be working on a change in the behavior to receive absolution. But, a person will not be excommunicated for commiting a sexual sin. In the LDS church is may be possible. However catholics should attempt avoid commiting the same sin over and over again. For example:

Whenever we pray the Act of Contrition, we bank on God’s help, but we also tell the Lord that we are absolutely serious about avoiding sin in the future. In other words, we’re committed to doing whatever we can to help reverse the cycle of sin in our life, to wipe out our spiritual illness at the source.

So a good catholic knows this rather well. How would you like to be called spiritually ill?

I am pre-programmed.

I've read denial as Daniel...
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco
- To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

Some sexual sin is a result of love. Therefore it is easier to forgive. In many cases, it is a result of inappropriate expression of feelings. In other cases, it is a result of alcohol abuse. Address the root cause, and the loss of sexual self-control is taken care of. Mormons see sexuality as intertwined with the Garden of Eden story. Catholics see pride as intertwined with the Garden of Eden story. A profound difference.
