Actually, many of us see sexuality and sexual attraction as a beautiful and amazing part of human life.

It is our own responsibility to control our sexual urges.

I agree.

If an attractive woman is raped, is it her fault for being attractive?

It's not her fault for being raped. But could her selection by the rapist be based on his (the rapist) or her ideal of attractiveness?

It is no different than saying girls in bikinis are responsible for men having dirty thoughts

Given the laws of sexual attraction, why are they not responsible for a portion of those thoughts? The man of course is equally responsible to control those thoughts. But what about placing the man in a situation where those thoughts come faster and with more frequency? The same of course could be asked about pacing women in the same situations.

Of course humans are attracted to each other. it's why we reproduce, but it is our responsibility to control ourselves.

I've not said or implied otherwise.

Excellent research to go with my conservative sexual ethics BCSpace. I tip my hat to you.

bcspace, if you ever grow up and drop your Puritanical LDS ideals, for the first time in your life you'll be able to be confronted with attractive people in beach clothing without freaking out. :)

So does sexual attraction exist or not? This is turning out to be a really enlightening thread. One of the greatest criticisms of ex or anti Mormons is sex (by the admission of many of you) and yet here we see that the problem is not with the Church, it's yourselves beginning with your arguments about morality that can only be true if sexual attraction does not exist. Is this how you say your sins don't exist either?

Sexual attraction exists. The problem is, for thousands of years, religion has blamed women for it.

bscpace is clearly a man who seeks to blame his own troubles on others.

A woman is more likely to be raped by overdressing for any given situation and appearing to lack confidence. A woman with extremem body shame is more at risk than a confident woman in a bikini. It is never, EVER a woman's fault for being raped or brutalized. So just stop.

Only creepy, sexually unfulfilled individuals, like yourself, are affected by women who wear bikinis...The rest of us are capable of seeing women in their bathing suits and not not assume that they are sending us "signals"...

I think that's the fundamental misunderstanding. The rest of us have no problem with sexual attraction. BC Space sees it as a problem that needs a solution.

bcspace is really angry at all the attractive women who forced him to fantasize about them. Really, really angry.
