What would happen if....
What would happen if next Sunday I sat with the deacons and attempted to participate in the passing of the sacrament?
I do not believe that women can ask for men to give us the priesthood. We have it already, just as much as anybody. It is a right that can only be assumed. Asking is saying that it is not ours. Asking is giving away our power. This is a right that we must take back. If not for ourselves, for our daughters and sisters.

You'd be asked to move/stop until the point where you would be escorted out.

Then I could yell "Hell no, I won't go!"

Or in other words, you'd become the Rosa Parks of Mormon feminism. ;)

Try the Church of Christ (former RLDS). Apparently God popped in to see his prophet there and told him that women can have the Priesthood.

I am very much tempted now.

Perhaps you could start by getting a current priesthood holder to confer the priesthood on you and set you apart to a specific office.
Makes me wonder - were we, as priesthood holders, ever officially told that we could confer the priesthood only on males? Or were we just expected to know that, to infer it from other more explicit information?

I've been informed that even if I was ordained there are no places to mark ordination on a female membership record.

What matters more? Ordination, or a mark on a membership record?
The inadequacy of the church membership system should not bar a worthy member from serving, should it?

Nope. I'm brainstorming a workaround. I want a damn certificate! j/k
I already have the priesthood. SO, if I get ordained it really would be in hopes that the records would reflect it.
