I do not believe that women can ask for men to give us the priesthood. We have it already, just as much as anybody. It is a right that can only be assumed. Asking is saying that it is not ours. Asking is giving away our power. This is a right that we must take back. If not for ourselves, for our daughters and sisters.

Wouldn't you rather bless the sacrament? It is so annoying when the priests have to do it over. How hard is it to read a card?

I would still be going to church if that was the case.

When your a young man you don't even have to think about sex to get those.

Also, the Melchizedek Priesthood is where the action is. I say we show up for High Council meeting and demand an assignment. Let the Dads take care of the kids in Sacrament Meeting while we're off speaking to other wards. ;-)

Some of the priests get pretty nervous. I remember one time this priest had to say the prayer 3 times and he didn't get it right. He walked out of sacrament after the third try pretty upset. I'm not sure if he came back to church again.

Is it really that important that it has to be said word for word? Poor guy.

Basically, I am trying to think of the easiest (logistically) way to be subversive.

There were a few women once who refused to veil their faces in the temple. That was an easy, sorta public act of disobedience.

I could have a couple men ordain me, but that would not be a public act.

I figure sitting with the deacons would perhaps be easier than attempting to take over the prayer.

Crashing a meeting is a fabulous idea. Let's keep brainstorming!

Common problems that cause the do-over in blue:
"O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; th- they may eat it in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, th- they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he has given them, th- they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen."

For some reason, boys don't like to say "that" - maybe it sounds to British or something. Sometimes, it is hard to tell if they said "that" or not.

They also like to insert "it" for some reason.

Do you think Rosa Parks should have been embarrassed for her behavior?

There is a difference when it comes to religion and the greater socieity which is why there is a separation of church and state in the USA. It is no different in the catholic church. Maybe a woman should put on a priest's robe and attempt to say mass. And in the end, what would it prove? Not very much.

By sitting with the deacons getting ready to pass the sacrament, is not rosa parks. Also, since you tend to sit quietly in sunday school or relief society while commenting here and not in class, I think that you should take it one step at a time and begin to speak your mind in class first and then go to more radical options. Or you can just stop attending the LDS church and head over to a church with women pastors. But remember in protestantism, the priesthood does not exist.

Go to priesthood session at general conference.

Your rational would be you get to read the talks in the ensign a few months later, what's the difference watching the talks live?

If you take a teacher around for fast offerings go with him to the door and get the fast offerings with him.

Bring the bread for sacrament just in case one of the teachers forgets. Maybe help set it up. Come to think of it at the singles ward the girls would open the door for me when I had a bunch of trays in my hand.

Carry around some concentrated oil on your key chain. Bless the oil yourself and tell others that are going to use it that it has been blessed.

Go to the community of chirst church and practice passing the sacrament with them. (my sister did that once)

Go with your husband hometeaching. (my mom would do this with my Dad)

Stop visiting teaching.

Dress up like a guy and then pass the sacrament :)

Hello, NYTimes? I am a Mormon woman and I am going to try to pass the sacrament. Usually, it is for young boys to do but because I am a woman and want the priesthood, I will replace one of the young boys and attempt to pass the sacrament. This is something that no woman or girl should do in a Mormon meeting. Can you send a reporter over to my ward to see me in action? I am hoping that the bishop will forbid me from doing so, and I can embarrass the Mormon church. Thank you.
