The photos and captions in this article are absolutely dripping with cynicism much the same as runtu's writing. This is another yellow journalistic hit piece designed to portray Mormons as dull, drab, bored, oppressed, suppressed sexually, and brain-washed. None of which is inherently true of Mormonism.

It seems redundant, as the LDS manuals have been working hard at it for decades.

That is just embarrassing. Seriously.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

If an article is printed in a publication that no one reads - was it ever really written?

I mean seriously, Provo rants as follows: "This isn't my regular weekly column and it has nothing to do with Mormonism. But, having decided to speak out, I want my voice heard on this matter"!!

If that was his objective, why not attract a publication that would get his voice outside of Orem??? He could have saved time and just recited his article from his front porch and got the same hearing!!

Just went back to the Times LightBox sit and re-formatted the comments list to SORT BY NEWEST FIRST.

Schryver is now pulling a "Peterson" and saying that he has to leave the board in order to travel to a warmer climate (presumably in a place where there will be no internet access whatsoever.). Will seems to consider himself as DCP's tag team buddy. It's just hilarious. Those two just do not know when to quit.

What a pair.

What a show.

What a (mini)disaster for the Church

In other words, it's accurate.

That's *exactly* what I thought - I mean, it's one thing to keep the insanity contained to Mo-boards, but bringing it to a more public place.... You'd think the premier apologist for the Mormon church would know better.

Or maybe he just misses us.
