What I told you was accurate.

However, putting that aside, the point I am making is that the Church doesn't encourage people to be thinkers unless that thinking merely confirms obedience to the words of the current Prophets and Apostles.

Wether you see that or not is irrelevant.
One only need research General Conference or other areas on LDS.org to see that it is an accurate portrayal.

Listen, if you have a legitimate gripe against the Church, then say so, but this is not one of them. It's not as if you're the first Mormon to hear this from the leadership. Quinn heard it, too. Did you listen to his Mormon Stories podcast? Did you hear him whining and moaning and bitching about the Church like DarthJ?

Grow up and get a real criticism.

Who made you the decider of what an individual's legitimate gripe is or isn't? By doing so you have ably demonstrated the EXACT point about the Church teaching that members should put aside their questions and their thinking and just be obedient.

Thank you for making my point far better than I ever could.

You're most welcome. I'm always happy to add more delusions to your multiple delusions, if it makes you happy.

That seems to be the nature of many on "this board".

Shall I join you? "Mormonism is a fraud!!!!!!"

Does that make you happy? Itching ears scratched?

I'm convinced that compared to some posters here, Baalim's ass was a genius.

LOL,

Some good ones there Ray.
Secretly, I bet admitting Mormonism was a fraud made you tingle with the spirit!

If a person investigates Mormonism and reaches the conclusion that it is a fraud:
1. Are they delusional?
2. Has the Holy Ghost had an off day?
3. Have the members and resources of the Church failed?

Hello Drifting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have actually said that Mormonism is a fraud, on this very board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I'm in "Joey"mode here). But only in revenge mode, so in some ways, I can understand the frustration.

I took great delight in exposing a fellow who goes by the name of LoaP, some time back.

Don't post on MAD/MDDB. You'll be screwed over. I still post here, but only because, in spite of its faults, I believe this board has more "morals" than MDDB.

But you must always remember, "I'm an apologist". lol.

Sorry Ray, but I don't get it.

Joey mode
Revenge mode
Exposing moderators true pseudonyms (see what I did there...)
Apologist mode

I don't see how these apparently random and unconnected spits of information answer my post?

Are you saying that you are being a fraud when you say the Church is a fraud? Or are you saying that when you say the Church is a fraud, that the appearance that you are fraudulently saying that, is itself a fraud?

Well said, and I completely agree. Yours is the best set of comments I have read on the photos and the hullabaloo they appear to have caused among a small handful of apologists.

I'm sure the prophets and apostles would be turning in their graves if they saw the way the Mopologists are abandoning their pearls before swine.... well they would be if they weren't too busy preaching to the spirits in spirit prisonTm their false doctrine and opinions.

Thanks,

I'm just surprised to find that Church teachings on the issue changed so radically and that a few apologists were left with the job of communicating that change in the Comments section of TIME's blog. These are strange times.

Daniel C. Peterson's comments make Mormons look far worse than all of Brian Shumway's captions and photographs and all of the other comments combined. (And that is saying a lot.)

The LDS Church should pay DCP to stay off unprotected forums on the internet. He now drags along so much toxic baggage that his presence on any public forum that is not LDS controlled does more harm than good.

I hope you'll forgive me if I respectfully disagree.

Shumway's photographs broad-brushed all Mormons (or at least the Happy Valley ones) as unsmiling homogenites (is that a word)?
