In the apostate pantheon of sick, sad, pathetic little people, Darth J (whoever he really is) is among the gods on the little plastic Mt. Olympus of his own blasted and burned out imagination.

Darth shares a great deal with other angry, bitter, gnashing little bigots who have left the church because their seared conscience will not allow them to remain in the light.

Its sad, and its tragic, but perhaps...fitting.

1 - you SERIOUSLY need to read your posts, out loud, to yourself before you hit the submit button as your inability to form a coherent (and grammatically correct) thought is "astonishing"...You really need to take a course in critical writing before you continue to pretend like your degree, from whatever community college you went to, has any kind of value...

2 - I am guessing you don't have very many friends in real life. Maybe if you toned it down and bit, and didn't act like such an angry douche, you might be able to find some actual friends. Your, obvious, self-loathing and lonely anger could easily be corrected if you just mellowed out a bit and tried to actually have a low-energy conversation with someone. LDSism isn't for everyone.

You didn't like the First Presidency message either, huh?

That darn Darth, always clowning...

I see that you are going for name-calling, rather than defending what President Eyring had to say. Excellent choice.

Why not derail some of your threads, as you do incessantly to mine? Oh, the last thread you derailed was a serious philosophical exploration of core political questions asking for serious, stimulating debate. Your thread here is a vicious, intellectually empty personal attack on a LDS General Authority for no apparent reason other than your own impotent rage at the church for being...the church. I shouldn't even call this a derailing, as the tracks hadn't even been laid in the first place.

It sounds like you have a solid, unshakeable testimony of LDS monster-under-your-bed stories, Ron.

I just know neurotic, self destructive, compensatory anger and frustration when I see it.

Repentance and self knowledge are the answer here. Flailing wildly at the Church as a teenager flails at his parents for making it clear to him that he is not the center of the universe is no way to deal with what is eating away at your being.

Yes, it is all anger. Everything that the Church tells you about apostates is true. Also, if you are naughty, Santa will not bring you any presents.

It sounds like you have a solid, unshakeable testimony of LDS monster-under-your-bed stories, Ron.

I'm sure you have extensive personal experience from which you may draw.

Did you ever watch "Mystery Science Theater 3000," when they make fun of B-movies? Was it your understanding that they were doing that because they were angry at the movies' producers and had some existential angst?

Then perhaps you should read any number of my serious posts seeking the serious exploration of ideas over the last six years here, and avoid those infrequent times when I fully unload my feelings on petty, wailing little gasbags like Darth Cochran.

There's plenty of it. I've got two threads on teh intersection of gospel and politics going in the Celestial room. Why don't your contribute to those, instead of worrying about my off-the-wall polemical writing (which, if I had put this stuff in quotations as dialog, would look just like it was intended, as free floating verbal jousting).

2 - I am guessing you don't have very many friends in real life.

I've always been very particular about my friends. They have always been few and close. True, I never hung around with large groups, and never had the slightest intention of being "popular."

This saved me mountains of grief, I'm quite sure, given what I've observed over a lifetime of most people who needed loads of socializing and attention (and especially the "jocks.")

Maybe if you toned it down and bit, and didn't act like such an angry douche, you might be able to find some actual friends.

Understand Dr. Freud, that I do not seek out "friends" on Internet message boards. I prefer the real article.

Your, obvious, self-loathing and lonely anger could easily be corrected...

None of this changes, in any manner, the fundamental truth that Darth's venting of impotent, bitter, frustrated rage against a servant of the Lord giving words of comfort and spiritual hope to countless persons in need of those words was an example of utter, complete, total, astonishing, illimitable intellectual vacuity and philosophical infantility.

Look at the Gorgon right in the face, Schreech. No shield, no mirror. Just stare into the face of the "fruits" of apostasy.

Feel any stiffness in the joints yet?

That's a good question, as spending too much time around here could very well lead the very best of us to the bottle for comfort and solace.

But I think much better of Simon. He's pretty good at stepping on the many webbed feet here with substance and wit.

What's wrong, Schreech, did you step on your roach clip and break a toenail? Why so uppity tonight?

So you did? What profound message did you derive from it?

Wouldn't you like to know.

Yes, it is all anger. Everything that the Church tells you about apostates is true. Also, if you are naughty, Santa will not bring you any presents.

What they have told me has been vindicated by clear and concrete evidence and interaction with a number of them over time, that I've found those teachings to reflect the reality quite accurately. Please continue on with your uncompromising confirmation of what the Church has told me about apostates.

I'm sure you have extensive personal experience from which you may draw.

Who knows?

Did you ever watch "Mystery Science Theater 3000," when they make fun of B-movies? Was it your understanding that they were doing that because they were angry at the movies' producers and had some existential angst?

Yes, I used to watch that sometimes, but was annoyed, on occasion, because some of the films they mocked and made fun of were really not bad pieces.

In any case, that isn't what you're doing, Darth. Under all your dark, cantankerous, sarcastic wit there is real hatred and resentment percolating. No one could have missed it, and I certainly haven't.

Yeah, probably best not to say.

How about the deep, philosophical insights in a recent issue of Reader's Digest? Would that be too many pearls before swine?

Nobody. You are an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, garnished with unknowns.........

Yeah. Anyway, was it your understanding that the motive for making that show was impotent rage and the pains of a tormented soul?

In any case, that isn't what your doing, Darth. Under all your dark, sarcastic wit there is real hatred and resentment percolating. No one could have missed it, and I certainly haven't.

Hey! Guess who else says this kind of thing about their apostates?

Did you guess.....Scientologists?

The vast majority of false allegations put forward, primarily on websites on the Internet, to attempt to stigmatize the Church of Scientology, have been systematically spread by a handful of disgruntled former Scientologists, Church of Scientology staff members or members of the Sea Organization (Sea Org) —apostates(1)— who commonly have "an axe to grind."

Courts, scholars and objective and responsible government bodies routinely discard testimony by apostates of any religion because their credibility is always suspect, their anecdotal allegations inevitably motivated by personal interests, and their claims frequently fueled by greed to support outlandish and unwarranted demands for monetary compensation in legal actions from their former faiths.
