Imagine (for Droopy)

Post by _Analytics »

Imagine no poor among us
A free economy
Working capitalism
No more poverty
Imagine all the people working for market wage

Imagine there’s no unions
No social safety net
Minimal regulations
A total free market
Imagine all the people, working day by day

You may say I’m the Man’s tool
But exploitation’s fun
Forget crony capitalism
We’ve got to have low inflation

Imagine there’s no death tax
A permanent upper class
No tax on dividends
No capital gains tax
Imagine all the wealthy, living life tax free

You may point out I’m not wealthy
That can change in capitalism
I hope someday I will join them
And I’ll never have to work again

I'm really tempted to reply to this with a song of my own, based upon CCR's Fortunate Son, but I really want to have the discussion and leave that kind of thing out of the Celestial room.

Nice try, though.
Nothing is going to startle us more when we pass through the veil to the other side than to realize how well we know our Father [in Heaven] and how familiar his face is to us

Thanks. Since you do have a talent for these tunes, I thought I'd do my best to write one for you.
