It seems all anyone does here is read the other board and criticize it. What fun. You all got banned. So what. Get on with life and get over it. Do something else with your lives- you will all be happier people. This is a gripe club for people who cannot get over the church or getting banned from mdb.

So, you're griping on this board about someone griping on this board about you griping on the other board about this board. Would that count as post-modern?

Look, "postmodernism" doesn't even have a clear definition- it is more an attitude than anything. I was talking about a specific philosophical position- I had no care or no idea why your definition was so important to you.

So now a year or whatever later, out of the blue, you attack me and all your little buddies jump on board as usual. I don't even remember the thread over at mdb you are talking about.

I did not attack you. I responded to something that LDST said, which was that you were gloating about kicking my ass. Which you did.

But this is what you do, John. You have done it so often. Now you will apologize and I accept it, and I apologize to you if I did what you say I did, and that will be that, until the next time you bring it up.

I hardly ever go over there, and I really don't care what goes on there. I responded to a post from LDST, and there was no attack involved. Obviously, you think differently.

Big deal. Drop it. Grow up. Forget about it and do something else with your lives. This mutual misery society doesn't help anyone with anything. It is all based on negative energy. That can't be healthy for anyone.

I have dropped it. If all you see is negative energy, that's on you.

Runtu is right - on another thread, I was explaining briefly my flight into apostasy and I pointed out that you were the one who had sent me over to mormondiscussions.com to see how well you were doing in a debate on postmodernism. You were bragging in a thread over on MD&D that you were kicking some major butt in the debate.

That was the catalyst that brought me here. Of course, it only took me about an hour of reading to realize that your idea of kicking butt and my idea of kicking butt were on opposite ends of the spectrum. But, I kind of liked the free-wheeling tone and the people here actually answered my questions as opposed to calling me apostate for even asking.

So, ya, mfbukowski, my road to apostasy started with your gloating. I guess I should thank you!

Look me up on the trailer park if you want to see some philosophical arguments. Nobody talks philosophy over here so I don't get into it much.

Part of the problem is that one must understand the underlying philosophy before one really understands where I am coming from. It is not likely that I would teach about William James Whitehead and Wittgenstein to pre-missionary kids. That is all is necessary to understand spiritual experience.

God help me, I read through that thread, and you're right, there was no mention of ass-kicking, so I apologize for getting angry. I also reread the thread here in question, and I was reminded of the nastiness that got thrown my way there by a couple of LDS posters. That's probably what I was remembering.

Going over to MDD was not a bad thing this time. I used to go over there and think about friends I once had and how I wished I could still interact with them, but I didn't feel that way this time. A lot of the people I respected are gone, and the people I have no respect for whatsoever are still posting away. It's not bad to be away from that.
