Mormon men for some reason can't seem to get their urin in the urinal while pissing in the temple. It's really disgusting, I kid you not!

Some targeting is required to get your stream to hit the urinal. If you can't touch your penis, you can't aim. A loose cannon.

I've never been in a Temple. I would have to forge a TR to get in. Maybe if I offered to clean the restrooms...

I know plenty of TBM's that got asked this question and they are not apostates. My Dad was a bishop and he got told to ask this question. I'm sure he asked a crap load of tbm's.

I think the difference is a lot of apostates took this sin really seriously and felt a ton of guilt over it for years. Myself personally felt guilt for 15 years of my life. This was not healthy and I blame the church for this guilt.

What I am finding is when I talk to some of my good TBM friends about this is that most of them do masturbate but they don't or didn't feel nearly as guilty as I did.

I guess I just lived it too seriously. That's what I thought I was suppose to do though.

I'm thinking that guilt probably helped me in my decision to go away from the church. It wasn't the main thing though.

It is amazing just how many masturbation threads there have been on this forum. Talk about a fixation!

In the past catholic boys also a problem with masturbation and confession. One had to face the priest in the confessional. Masturbation was a sin in most christian religions and it still is. But for many churches, they now tend to ignore it. It is all apart of being a christian and not just being a Mormon.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

Catholics, Christians, and Mormon clergy have no business discussing sexual matters and masturbation with young boys. It is child abuse. The church is going to pay for this crime someday when the crap hits the fan. You'll see.

Masturbation is not evil. There is nothing wrong with it.

So how many times have you masturbated, why me? Feel free to PM me and confess your little deeds you've done in secret. Heck, all I need to do is close my eyes and I can imagine you doing it, easily. Have you done it in the last 30 days?

Which should indicate to you just how badly affected people have been by the Church's interference with this subject when they were teenagers.

Yes, it is a fixation of the church and has been for a very long time.

Here's one of my favorite masturbation quotes from the church, given in a general priesthood meeting:

I am going to use a visual aid tonight. But we don’t have one, so, in your mind’s eye, wherever you are across the far corners of the earth, would you picture a huge scroll sliding down from the ceiling? On it are listed the names of those who purchased pornographic literature. The list is large enough so that all may see. Is your name on the list?

Did you buy some pornographic literature?

Now suppose those names are removed, and the names of all those who attended or viewed x-rated movies are presented so that all who are in the congregation may see. Again, is your name on the list?

Now, my young friends, and I am sorry to say, many adults, how about all those of you who have a masturbation problem? If the names of those who had the problem were projected across this big, huge scroll, would your name be there, or would you be able to sit back confident and pure in heart? (Vaughn Featherstone, "A Self-Inflicted Purging," Ensign, May 1975)

If we're fixated on it, it's because the church taught us to fixate on it. It's frankly disgusting how some people dismiss this issue as some perverted fixation of apostates. It's not our fault that the church made this such a big deal in our lives. I stopped masturbating for 2 years before my mission and then through until marriage, and I still felt guilty. I was taught to feel guilty, but some urbane, sophisticated person who apparently missed the church's teachings has the gall to condemn others for having any feelings about this issue at all.

That title makes it sounds as if Featherstone is going to give instructions about how to clean one's pipes.
