I tried many times going to bishops with doctrinal questions:
What about the book of Abraham?
What about the Kinderhook plates?
What about blacks and the priesthood?
Every time, I was asked, "Are you living the gospel?" "Why are you asking questions?" "Why aren't you living the gospel?"
I was told:
"Don't worry about it!"
"If you were living the Gospel, you wouldn't have any questions!"
"Do you masturbate?"
That is how bishops deal with Members with doctrinal/historical questions.
If you are LIVING THE GOSPEL then you'll never have doubts

If you are LIVING THE GOSPEL then you'll never have doubts - BY DEFINITION.
