A very visible amount of local and general LDS leaders obsessed with the sexual activities of church members.

Let me see if I have this right: we were taught our whole lives to feel guilt and shame over sexual feelings and actions, so we suppressed them or lived with terrible guilt (or like me, we did both). We grow up and recognize that these teachings were damaging and warped our view of sexuality, so we occasionally talk about this subject with other people who understand what we've been through.
And for that, you call us "obsessed." Awesome.

Here's another old LDS publication (http://contentdm.lib...du/u?/YWJ,18859), which gives a rather different take on the eternal consequences of "immodesty" in which Elder George F. Richards counsels young women in 1916:
"The lustful eye caused by immodest dress condemns one as an adulterer at heart which means a loss of spirituality, and in some instances a loss of virtue. Consider here, where does the responsibility primarily belong?
"What would one of our girls think or how would she feel if after marriage she should learn from her husband that before marriage by reason of her immodest dress and exposed person he had been so overcome by lust as to resort to haunts of vice for gratification and there formed the habits and possibly contracted the disease which is henceforth to be her greatest trial, her greatest curse. This picture I do not believe to be overdrawn. If her husband has escaped, some one else's husband or son may be the victim."

why me wrote:This is not true at all. Mormons are not taught to feel guilty and shame about sexual feelings.
But they are told that before marriage such feelings need to be controled. Here is what Mormons are taught: sex is a beautiful act of love between two people that are married to the other. And it is also for procreation within a marriage relationship.
This board does not occasionally talk about sex. It is quite often, especially masturbation. Kinda creepy really.

Well, I don't know. But I do know that this board certainly has a masturbation addiction. Kinda creepy.
