Awesome stuff why me...you sure you're Mormon?
It is my province to teach to the Church what the doctrine is. It is your province to echo what I say or to remain silent.

Mormon, hell. After that unprovoked shot at Just Me, I'm wondering if he's human.

Yep, why me, I'm talking about you.

why me wrote:Maybe you enjoy the bandaid too much to do so. First, you just need to open your mouth in class instead of taking notes for this board. To take notes for this board and then post your opinions of another human beings comments behind their back is not brave at all. It is however kind of sneaky. Much better to open the mouth in class not to create trouble but to create conversation.

It can be a wonderful learning experience.

Marvelous. A man who believes in the LDS church but isn't LDS because he can't actually live the standards that the LDS church demands is doling out advice on how to be LDS---to a woman who can live the standards that the LDS church demands, no less.

Somehow I'm reminded of people who lost their virginity at age 15 and got married at 19 trying to give advice to 32 year-old LDS singles on coping with celibacy.

But I do open my mouth in class. And that was my point. I don't keep my mouth shut if I disagree with someone. And it does create conversation and more for people to think about. However I am not argumentative with a contentious spirit.

And I would say the same to a man. It makes no difference. The mouth is there to be opened for deliberation.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

why me, when I read your posts I am unable to see the cl in class. Opening one's mouth "in class" is a lot different than opening one's mouth "with class". You illustrate that distinction very well.

The mouth also has a feature that enables it to be closed. Could you try to find that feature, exercise it and deliberate less?

why me wrote:It seems to me that this guy wants more attention. Maybe he is lonely and needs some internet fame. But in the scheme of things he was just a bishop, a calling that many men have had and will have. Sometimes bishops leave the church. No big deal.

All about fame, isn't it, why me? Mormonism, that is.

Why would you think it is all about fame? When there wasn't much fame to it, Mormom apostles (back in the 19th Century when they were supposed to have seen JC in the flesh) left the Church. Now, they are fawned over like rock stars and dodge the question about whether they've seen JC in the flesh, but stay to enjoy their position.

Hell, your own beloved JSJr wanted that spotlight all for himself and tried to get the Church members to kick that scene-stealing Sidney out of the FP.

Mormonism = fame.

You are on to something there, why me. Though we've suffered through thousands of posts to at last find something you might be right about.

I feel the same way, Jason. I try to make things work in the church, but it isn't working very well. I don't think I'm so much of a coward as just someone who would like to find peace within the context I know. But if that's not possible, it's damned hard to just walk away.

Why me, I think you're overreacting just a tad. It's a pretty simple letter, and it simply explains the situation in which he found himself. He doesn't share the information that damaged his testimony or try and lead others out of the Church.

He had originally posted it earlier this year, and took it down under duress. Now he's reposting it. If he hadn't had to take it down the first time, we wouldn't be talking about it right now.

But I'm a little surprised that his testimony turned around in two months. That's pretty fast.

just me doesn't need your advice on how to be Mormon. That was my point. If she feels that not speaking up on controversial topics in class is the best way to manage her beliefs and the practice thereof, that's her call and you're no one to tell her otherwise.

Strangely enough, I agree.
