Here's the difference, Loran. Neither of us has any grandeur to speak of, but at least I recognize that fact. What you're telling me is that, if you dare speak of the church's doctrines (of which I am well aware), you think I will spit on them and mock them because I wallow in self-serving grandeur.

You make unwarranted statements, and then when people like me call you on them, you pronounce nasty and self-righteous condemnation on us instead of backing up your statements, In other words, you run away, but not until after telling us what terrible, awful people we are.
If that is what passes for intellectual seriousness in your part of the world, so be it. Everywhere else, we recognize it for what it is: a weird mixture of mean-spiritedness and intellectual cowardice.
