It's obvious he posted the letter to head off any gossip about why he was released as a bishop. He was given an ultimatum about the letter take it down or face discipline, for family reasons he choose to take it down. In putting it back up it shows not redundancy but a continuing need to address gossip. !
Well, I think that the gossip died a year ago when all this happened. The ward is not that big. Family can put in a word about why he left his calling and I am sure that they did.
Yeah. Or he could address the gossip by posting on his blog, that way you are not getting the information from third parties. Just different ways of communicating with people. Don't get all pissed that he didn't check with you first before posting on his blog.
