So Lizard Jew, what was Joseph Smith's standard then?

that being said, we should help those who need it.
What exactly was "coming to them"?
Good god. Let's hope you never reap "what's coming to you." Such petty judgmentalism is really unbecoming, even in a troll.
From the Ernest L. Wilkinson Diaries: "ELW dreams he's spattered w/ grease. Hundreds steal his greasy pants."

I see. Doesn't that strike you as just a little bit TOO convenient?

Fortunately, no one cares what you believe, nor does what you believe have any bearing on what is true and what isn't.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Account for all known evidence and raises more questions then it answers, but ok. Think what you will, of course.

that's why it is in the DC.
that's why the first one isn't.
it wasn't for the rest.
Joseph rattled off the revelation from memory, supposedly having received it many years past. You know, for himself.
I wouldn't take this line of reasoning if I were you. A different standard for leadership vs lay members is one of the hallmarks of... you know, one of the "C" things.

joseph smith was practicing polygamy way back, no need for this revelation yet.
god had already explained it pretty well and helped joseph.
only near the end of his life did god see fit to get it on paper.
for who?
for the saints to come.
easy peasy
Actually it was for Emma. God was trying to get Joseph out of trouble with her.
