You're not walking the walk, and not being honest with yourself when you attend church putting on a false face of being wonderful believing member. In two churches! You're a hypocrite when you attend either church, and then you slather more hypocrisy on yourself when you berate others.

I don't do this in both cases. I never attend both chruches pretending to be a wonderful member. In fact, I told the nuns just recently that I am just a guy and not perfect. I never pretend to be something that I am not.

You seem to want to believe what you need to believe about me.

That is certainly not how you presented your supposed participation in the Catholic church on CAF. You presented yourself as filling ministries reserved for dedicated, active and devout Catholics, positions that non-members only fill in extraordinary circumstances.

However, Just Me was referring to a specific instance where she knew the teacher and participants in class, and made a judgement call that it would be best to keep quiet in order to not hurt feelings.

This was hardly the case. In one instance someone made what she interpreted to be a racist comment. One can speak up and offer a different perspective. No harm done. And in another instance there was nothing too serious. She could have said something. I don't think in the instances that just me gave, silence was necessary. I have always spoken up and I have done it quite often. But not always. But so far, i just see just me sitting there taking it all in with a roll of the eyes. And that was my point.

A discussion is a wonderful thing to have in class and it occurs when there is a difference of opinion.

(Bold emphasis mine) See? You just admitted that there are times when you have chosen to keep quiet. You seem to be indicating that your judgment in when to speak up and when to keep quiet is superior to Just Me's, even though you do not attend her ward, have not established friendships/relationships there, and are unfamiliar with the dynamics of the class.

This is the type of behavior that makes it difficult, if not near impossible, to take your defense of the faith seriously.

You mean when he claimed to be a "reader" at Mass?

I love how he talks to these "nuns and priests" that seem to be ok with having one foot in the Mormon church, and one in the Catholic.

I wonder if anyone else can see these people?

They probably live in the same magical happy land as the LDS bishops who see no problem with unmarried people dry humping in their underwear.

I am not a talking head in class. If so, I would completely alienate most people in class. My point was simple. If someone makes a comment in class that a person disagrees with they can open their mouths to give a different perspective especially if it troubles them. And all would benefit from this.

However if all one does is rolls ones eyes and sits there quietly and then comes to the board to moan about the person's comment on this board, I think that they are doing a disservice to the class and to the person who made the comment. Juse Me could have given a different perspective and helped the class to see the issue differently. And that was my point. I see nothing wrong with my point.

I never engaged in doctrinal disagreements on CAF. I just defended the LDS church against attacks. I said that I gave the readings at church. I was called a liar. I said that I attended the catholic church and knew priests and nuns. I was called a liar. I said that I volunteered with a catholic organization, the missionaries of charity. I was called a liar.

I was born catholic. I don't need to be a catholic taliban to give the reading. I just need to be catholic. And I don't give the reading all the time but I do do it well.

But what does this have to do with consigs daughter? Like always, the thread becomes about me when I comment on the thread. It becomes personal. And what about you café, how often do you attend Mass. Lets make this thread about you. Okay? I want to know more about you. What do you do in the catholic church?

Show me where you were called a liar. Be careful, because what you are classifying as being "called a liar", is exactly the same thing you did to other posters who disagreed with you.

You called them "liars" the same way you accuse them of calling you a liar.

Pot meet kettle.

Ummmmm wrong again. (no surprise there).

In order to be a "lector", one has to be a Practicing Catholic in good standing. Which you have clearly demonstrated you are not.

Tell you what. Tell me what Diocese you are in, and I will check with the Bishop (yes, I can do that), and see if someone who constantly bashes the Catholic Church, and receives the "sacrament" at a Mormon ward would be allowed to be a Lector.

Oh wait, you won't do that. You didn't do it in that thread when you were asked either.
