The COB cares
What do the FP/12/does the COB care more about: (1) a member believing in the literal Noahic flood covering the entire earth or (2) a member avoiding caffeine?
(It would be too obvious if it was the flood v tithing, so I thought I would posit a closer call between a theological belief and a lifestyle practice.)
ETA: "do the FP/12" so that harmony will know what I am asking.

Re: The COB cares
The COB is a building. It doesn't care about anything.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
Re: The COB cares
Depends on the temperature of the caffeine. I don't think you'd lose your temple recommend for saying that the flood was metaphorical. Almost every bishop would take your recommend if you admitted drinking coffee.

Re: The COB cares
Well, the recommend interview covers caffeine intake specifically when asking about your adherence to the Word of Wisdom but doesn't ask if you believe the scriptures are literally true and the word of God.

No it doesn't. Caffeine is not mentioned at all in the WoW or the TR interview.
but doesn't ask if you believe the scriptures are *** true and the word of God
Sure it does. When asked if you have a testimony in the restoration of the gospel and if you sustain the president of the Church and the twelve as prophets, seers, and revelators, you are accepting the truth claims they represent and doctrines they establish.
literally
Depends on what you mean by that. IF you mean something that is actually doctrine, then sure.

You are splitting hairs and you know it.

All of them? Or just the ones you wish to pick and choose?
For instance, are you supposed to believe in the original Book of Mormon from the restoration or the current amended version?

Yeah, caffeine doesn't matter. It's coffee that matters. I just made myself a latte. Mmmmmm. There were some doughnuts in the break room and I chose the evil brew instead. I'm working on a fit body these days and doughnuts will not help that. The TK will be full of fit bodies and I must prepare myself so I can be worthy to enter that level of heaven!

I have recently renewed my Temple recommend. Caffeine was not mentioned in any of the questions.

Did they ask WoW? Did you understand that to include abstaining from coffee and tea?

hi Radex!
Did he mention coffee or just the generic "do you keep the Word of Wisdom?" If the latter, it might just mean I'm temple worthier than I thought. Yes!
Edit: oops, SP beat me to it!
