Because people have been living in the americas long before any of the fictitious groups from the Book of Mormon supposedly lived here...

Huh. I would have guessed you to be more of a Halle Berry/Angela Bassett type. Go figure...

Wow, Halle Berry. You'd move me up in the world.

But Sienna is a rock-concert goer. That's a must for me.

Apologies up front for being off topic.

Sock - have you seen Alter Bridge live yet?
IMHO they are the best rock band currently on the scene, Kennedys voice and Tremonti's guitar playing are truly outstanding.

No, just Youtube. Great, great band. I hope to soon, as it really helps me appreciate good rock music to see such live.

In 2011, I caught the following live:

1-U2 for the 7th time for me (really passe; edge's guitar work is still good though, but I've heard those songs too many times)
2-The Fray (opened for U2)--okay.
3-My Darkest Days-Fantastic, new and fresh
4-3 Days Grace-overrated
5-Cage the Elephant-Fantastic and their songs sound great live
6-Foo Fighters-good, but I prefer the earlier songs to this current album that is all the rage right now
7-Zakk Wylde and the Black Label Society-great headbanging!
8-Guns N' Roses--better than the original line up, 33 song set in just over three hours. DJ Ashba makes you forget all about Slash. Ashba is much better in my opinion. I highly recommend that anyone that can, catch a Guns N' Roses concert--ludwigm, it might be worth a trip to Poland in June for you.

For 2012, I'm headed to Vegas to catch Motley Crue as part of their 2 week stint at the Joint. Will likely go to Van Halen (last time I saw them was 1984--I was still a TBM then!), and the reunited Ozzie and Black Sabbath tour in the fall of 2012. The newer bands make less hoopla about their tours, and so more spontaneous--but I hope to catch Alter Bridge, if they come to a venue near me. I appreciate your recommendation, Drifting. I have found recommendations for live rock shows usually quite reliable.

Neil Diamond is coming to our town. "Hello Again" is the song we danced to at our wedding reception. He is "our man" but we've never seen him play.

True story: my wife got all excited because Neil Young is on tour and doing a show in Salt Lake. Just as she was about to buy the tickets, she said, "Oh, crap. It's Neil Diamond."
