FUN GAME - YOU MUST TRY THIS!
Any of you on LinkedIn? If so, I've stumbled on an interesting little game...
This afternoon I was on LinkedIn, just browsing around, and I thought, "LDST, do you think anyone in erotic arts lists their profession on LinkedIn?" (NEVERMIND WHY I WAS THINKING THAT!!)
So I head over to the LinkedIn Search box and type in the search term, "porn star". And sure enough, adult actors and actresses as well as other adult industry employees pop up. I click on one, and here is where it gets interesting...
On anyone's LinkedIn page, you can see who is connected to who. For instance, I am linked up with my boss, others in my industry, colleagues, close friends, etc. If you looked at my LinkedIn page, you would see who I am linked to, but you could also see which of your connections are linked to me. As you might imagine I am linked to a lot of LDS people.
Imagine my SURPRISE when I saw that there were a number of TBM's linked up with this porn star! OK, maybe a coincidence. I go back to the list of adult industry professionals and click another - MORE TBM's! Another click, MORE! ANOTHER CLICK, AND STILL MORE!
And I'm not talking fringe members! I found a member of my ward's bishopric, another bishopric member from another ward in my stake, the stake young men's president, and other TBM's from the high council and other ward callings throughout my stake!
HOLY CRAP!
If any of you are on LinkedIn, I challenge you to try the same exercise - very enlightening!

Sweet Jesus LDST, you have single-handedly blown the lid off of a scandal. With the information you now possess, you could unleash hell in your ward. I assume you won't, of course, because you're a nice guy generally, but still.......wow.

I'm not that type of guy - I don't want to ruin lives. But, I can squirrel this away in the back of my brain and use it to smile when I hear these guys preach righteousness.

What do you think this means? It's evidence of what?
As for me, I could be linked to a porn star, given the right circumstances.
(Just no Mormons, that's a little much even for me)

I make no conclusions, I'll just let the links speak for themselves.

LDST,
Interesting.
I tried this and can report that my results could probably serve as a control for yours.
Pretty much the only TBM's that I am linked-in with are extended family members and a few colleagues.
I only got one "porn star" cross-link contact to come up among the names that I tried (half dozen or so TBMs).
The good news is that none of these were linked to any family members. The one I did get was linked to a TBM business colleague (who, interestingly enough, is involved in a very nasty divorce at the moment.)
If I understood your method correctly (and I am pretty sure I did - it is not rocket science) you must live in a much more interesting LDS milieu than I do (or than my family does).
Interesting.

I'm just glad I'm not in your stake.

If you were a dedicated Mormon you would have to report these transgressions to the church authorities so that the sinners could be counseled and brought back to God (doing them a favor?).
I wonder if some of the TBM's here will play the game and report the sinners? Assuming, of course, that they are not guilty themselves.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.
