I have since learned that this board is more populated by angry, defensive ex-Mos willing to launch the same coutner attacks that they used when they were in the fold than Mormons who have been using the same boilerplate "arguments" for decades.

You can't counterattack unless you're attacked first. That's the problem here: you came in guns blazing and hurling insults. I'm not sure how you expected anyone to react. If you had managed to make serious arguments and avoid the bigoted insults, people would have taken you more seriously. At least I would. Your loss, Brian.

I dunno, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13 ...?
More than 2?
What say you?

I don't think you've talked to more than 2 Mormons here. Yet, you've been content to make bigoted and insulting statements about Mormons being brainwashed morons. And you wonder why no one is seriously engaging you.

You guys are all so ...sensitive . Challenging the false claims of a religion you yourself do not even believe in somehow is NOT a serious issue and instead constitutes an "attack" on YOU?

I didn't say it was an attack on me; I have been attacked by far more intelligent people than you are, so you attacking Mormons doesn't hurt me personally. It just makes you look like a bigoted jerk.
And when you act like a bigoted jerk towards any group, no one is going to take you seriously.
BrianH wrote:It does not take a "prophet" to see right through the usual LDS tactic of trying to create tangential rabbit trails to avoid the original question. It only takes someone who can simply read English and who has been around Mormon apologists enough to see them do it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over ...yet again.
Why does this remind me of a scene from The Shining?
Heeeeeeere's Brian!

That's just it, though, Brian. As a member of the Church, I take no offense to those who challenge the claims or doctrines of Mormonism. There are doctrines that I, myself, disagree with, and discuss here. I have many friends in this community who disagree with Church doctrine. If you had presented yourself in a mature, friendly manner, you would have been taken a lot more seriously. However, rather than taking a moment to study the dynamics of the community, you came in with a chip on your shoulder, insulting everyone in sight. There is a difference between insulting individuals and maturely debating points of doctrine and issues.
I am still hoping that you can recognize the difference.

I suspect the Westburro Baptist Church would take him seriously.
