I'll say it again, Ray, "this place" has actually taught me respect for the spiritual and encouraged me to read a great deal more not just in Mormon history, but in the Bible itself.

But then again, you haven't been mocked, bashed, name called and attacked as some have. Because you are not a defender of the LDS church, you get free ride here. And that makes all the difference.

Oh, knock it off, Why Me. Quit trying to play the sympathy card when you have "given as good as you've gotten."

She is not exactly a defender of the faith and because of this she is treated rather well. However, when we consider how the defenders are treated, well, it is like night and day. It comes with the turf but blixa also needs to see the board from the point of view of the defenders and not just from her perch from a lovely rooftop.

I agree that some defenders are not treated the way they should be, and I do my best to come to their defense when it happens. It is also true that some defenders plow in with guns blazing, and are also guilty of personal attacks.

I don't think that you necessarily have a proper view of Blixa. I don't see her as aloof at all. Of course, I have known her a lot longer than you have. Maybe you just haven't read enough of her posts?

Blixa grew up in the Church...actually grew up in Utah, even though she now resides in NY. Although she has critical views of Church doctrine, she has always shown respect toward both LDS history and Mormonism as a religion.

Yes. We can see how every critic is treated like a king. Take BrianH for example. Oh wait...

Are you straining at the "g" in gnat?

You're right "why me" I reread the story, but I substituted the 'interrogate' for 'ask.' It totally changed the moral and outcome of the story. Now I see it in a whole new light.
Wait, no... It doesn't change anything.

We all know the reason for using interrogate in the story. It comes with the critic perspective.

Now just me you know what I mean...the defenders have a tough time not being name called and crapped on on this board. You also get a free ride because you are certainly no defender of the faith. In fact, just the opposite. So, you and blixa can relax on the same perch, at times trying to crap on the defenders' heads.

I notice you didn't tangle with me. For some reason, you find Just Me an easier target.

The only person I have seen Just Me come into any real conflict with is you. She is able to have respectful conversations with the other posters here, critic and defender alike. Hmmm...I wonder why that is?

Could it be that you simply have a problem with understanding the perspectives of those of us who identify as NOMs?
